Isshiki had been very busy. He used the beheaded head of Toshiko to cast Sage Kotoamatsukami on all the sage lands and everywhere he could within the Land of Kagaku.
After facing immediate attack after arriving to this planet he had been in hiding. His body was heavily damaged but not beyond recovery.
He had managed to successfully shrink the terrifying explosion before it destroyed his body. But it was a clear sign that the residents of this world were not to be underestimated.
Although the people of this world lacked chakra he could force the living head of Toshiko to alter the will of beings with sufficient natural energy within them. It was quite the reward he had for subduing the traitor.
"Toshiko, I heard that you had visited this planet before. I would be grateful if you would tell me what you know of this world."
"There isn't much I can tell you. I wasn't expecting this much technological advancement in just 300 years since my last visit."
A black rod suddenly expanded from the side of Toshiko's head piercing it. But Toshiko showed no reaction to the rod.
"You have the Senrigan. You can tell me much more than that."
"..." Toshiko looked at Isshiki with a careful expression as if carefully considering his words. "There's an object of unknown origins known as the Box of Ultimate Bliss. People believe it can grant wishes but its just a way of creating and controlling monsters. It has a chakra requirement for usage but that should be no problem for you."
Isshiki did not respond to Toshiko's suggestion. It was awfully suspicious for Toshiko to so directly give him such a plan of action when he usually never talked.
The rod barely affected Toshiko at all despite his efforts. It could only forcibly activate some of Toshiko's abilities. Which just so happened to be quite convenient for Isshiki at this time.
"And another thing which I would be grateful to know is, what was the source of that explosion. I've never seen a technology like that in any record of the clan."
Toshiko began to smile, which unsettled Isshiki as Toshiko spent most of his time in total silence at his waist.
"Let's just say that's a specialty of an old friend of mine."

The battlefield was intense as usual. The battlefield was urban in an abandoned city within a desert. But it had become a serious point of defense as the mad sages seemed to fixate on any large population centers.
This time they had the support of Katsuyu who split herself into many slugs that went around healing all the soldiers. Curing exhaustion and even guiding citizens to evacuation bunkers.
Katsuyu due to her splitting herself all the time. Had successfully avoided the sage kotoamatsukami as rejoining together undid any of the brainwashing that a particular instance of her were subjected to.
But Katsuyu never realized this as the kotoamatsukami was far too insidious for detection even if it was thwarted.
Thus not even Katsuyu knew why the other sage lands went mad and desired slaughtering the Land of Kagaku.
"The mechs have arrived."
"Finally, I was tired of sniping and repositioning all day."
The soldiers were in a good mood. With the arrival of the Mechs which were custom made to fight against the gigantic sages.
They would be able to throw a direct assault instead of endless focus fire for the first time.
The mech was deployed from the sky.
Gigantic ships flew in like missiles and began deploying various humanoid parts.
All these parts suspended themselves with thrusters and began assembling together on the fly.
Most soldiers were in awe at this process, as it was not everyday you got to see a mech assemble itself midair.
"Who will be piloting the mech?"
The soldiers that formed a crowd began looking around.
"I am."
The soldiers cleared the way for this lucky man who would get to fist fight giants within the safety of a giant mech.
The mech brought its hand down, the soldier stepped onto it and was brought up to the chest where he went inside to pilot the mech.
"Alright soldiers let's move out."
A booming voice from the speakers equipped on the mech was heard.
The soldiers were done gawking at their own technology and started taking up defensive positions.
The sages were skilled in stealth, they could genuinely appear from practically anywhere and they had no way to predict exactly where.
So even though there were no enemies right this instant in the abandoned city. All the soldiers were tense and ready to fight at any moment.
Their earlier levity was the only time they allowed themselves to relax.

All the soldiers stayed at their post in total silence.

BOOM
A gigantic impact was heard from the middle of the city.
In the span of less than a second all the soldiers in the viscinity began opening fire at the source of the sound.
A rain of supersonic firepower and explosive rounds fell upon the cloud of dust and smoke that formed around the noise.
The mech was a mile away and closing in fast to approach the threat.
But when the smoke cleared. Everyone ceased firing.
What they saw was a gigantic large box. With four of its sides covered in animalistic faces.
The box had taken no damage from a whole minute of focus fire so the soldiers decided to stop wasting their time.
"I detected a massive energy spike from that thing just now. Should we continue firing?"
The mech that had just arrived crossed its arms. "No, this object appears to be impervious to our attacks, I'll call in a team to move this box to a different locati-"
One of the mouths on the side of the box began to open up and a half naked person walked out.
"Who are you." Every soldier was pointing their weapons at the person and was prepared to start firing at a single sign of abnormality.
"My name is Satori." The person gave a twisted smile, just a bit too wide and a bit too big to be human.
At that moment everyone began firing and the Man transformed into a giant monster in an instant. Giant wings, a mouth on the chest, no head, a spine for a waist. It was anything but the more elegant appearances the soldiers had grown used to from the toads or snakes.
The grotesque visage began flying up and shot a glowing red ball from its mouth. It flew right at the mech and exploded.
Despite the explosion the mech ran forward and jumped high into the air. Tackling Satori with unmanned turrets on the mech firing at the same time.
Satori smashed the head of the mech into the chest causing it to fall. At the same time it released the feathers from its wings and shot them out as projectiles. Every one precisely aimed at every soldier raining fire upon it.
Most soldiers destroyed the feathers before it reached them but some were unlucky and got hit, a few even died to these hits.
The mech despite its smashed head had its pilots cockpit in the chest so it was still functional. It activated all its thrusters and charged at Satori. Throwing a heavy punch.
Satori was far more agile and weaved away from the mechs punches while continuing to release its feathers to attack the surrounding soldiers.
"It's useless"
The mech managed to grip onto Satori's sides and held on with its hydraulic press like grip strength. Then once again all of its thrusters activated driving Satori into the ground and through multiple buildings, collapsing them.
Off in the distance some of the soldiers had brough over an artillery class railcannon with a special antimatter round.
The mech wrapped its legs around Satori too. It pointed all of its thrusters straight up binding both of them on the spot.
At the same time the artillery class railcannon, half the size of the mech, was aimed through where the destroyed buildings had stood earlier, right at Satori being pinned down by the mech.
Satori began stabbing into the back of the mech with his hands. It was only a matter of seconds before one of those hands would crush the pilot inside to death.
But within those seconds the antimatter round was shot at a speed of mach 30. It created a small nuclear explosion right next to Satori. The power core within the mech reacted to the nuclear blast as well and had an equally powerful explosion the next instant.
Satori was crushed between two small nuclear explosions nearly destroying its entire body.
A rain of gigantic white feathers burst from the explosion as well. None of them were targeted so no one was injured.
All the soldiers stayed in total silence. Not a single one was willing to say that they had killed it or ask if it was dead. Nobody wanted to jinx it.
And then from the rubble, Satori emerged again. Just like earlier when he transformed from a human form. Completely healed and ready to fight.
"Ah shit, here we go again."
