"I didn't know he was going to be here." Daya said quietly, and the sentiment was echoed.
Shouldn't he be resting or something?
"Don't just stand there." Arc said, and with a shared look, we reluctantly entered the room. Regulus didn't even acknowledge Daya's presence, which grated my nerves.
Kai smiled at me before dawning his usual Alpha face, "Good morning, everyone. We have a new member of the Order Line: Daya. Welcome, Daya." Daya nodded, her eyes fixed on Regulus, who still hadn't shown any reaction.
Goddess, could the man be any thicker? My lips curled into clear dissatisfaction. Kai beckoned me to stand beside him.
He leaned in and whispered into my ear, "Stop looking like you want to commit arson." The action made my knees weak, and his hand on my back didn't make things any better.
