At exactly ten o'clock the following morning, Alexander and Ella finally left the hospital. The moment the car pulled away from the hospital entrance, Ella couldn't stop smiling.
She had missed home. Well... what had now become home.
Alexander glanced at her for what felt like the tenth time before finally chuckling. "You've been smiling since we got into the car."
Ella turned to look at him. "Have I?"
"You have."
Ella laughed, "I can't help it. I am just really happy."
Alexander chuckled. "I can see that."
A few minutes later, he added teasingly, "If you keep smiling like this, your cheeks are going to start hurting."
"They already do."
Alexander shook his head with amusement as he pinched her cheek. "Yet you're still smiling."
Ella grinned at him, "I am just really happy. I don't like hospitals." She pouted.
