Theo returned to the branches and continued searching from above. After a few more minutes, he finally seemed to find something worthwhile.
He followed it and found the one boy who could help him the most. It was Rhevard.
He was on a narrow dirt path just as he forced two students into each other. One had attacked with a blunt sword while the other had tried to throw a rope over Rhevard from behind.
Instead, the rope had fallen over the sword user, leaving both students tangled together on the ground.
Rhevard pulled the rope tighter around the two students without noticing Theo between the trees.
"You handled that well," Theo spoke as he stepped onto the path.
Rhevard turned immediately and raised his shield. He only lowered it after recognizing Theo.
Theo moved closer and looked at Rhevard's shield. There were already several pale marks across its surface from the blunt sword.
"You chose defense?"
