Theo stepped back first which made the girl and the other boy do the same, but none of them turned around.
Their small alliance was already finished.
"We leave in different directions." Theo spoke.
"Are you ordering me?" The girl hissed with frustration and hesitation.
"I am reminding you about the agreement. We can just not follow it too. I am okay with that." Theo's calm smile didn't leave his face.
She looked at the aura still covering his blunt sword and clicked her tongue. It was less in output now but aura was aura.
The student carrying the bag was the first to retreat. He kept facing Theo until enough trees stood between them and then disappeared deeper into the forest.
The girl followed another path moments later.
Neither had asked for Theo's name or offered their own. Their cooperation had only existed because the shield boy became the easiest target for all three.
"Cowards!" The restrained boy shouted after them.
