As Agatha left, Gladion thought to himself, 'We are fast reaching the canon timeline. That means the events that would be happening from now would either be something that happened in canon or something that would happen due to my actions directly or indirectly.'
Gladion leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees. 'A meteor in Mossdeep City. I think I should know what this mission is about. It should be something big considering Aura Guardians from two regions are involved. So it should be canon.'
He closed his eyes and searched his memories. 'I am not remembering what happened in Mossdeep City in the anime or manga or even the games. Is there something that happened in Mossdeep City that I am missing?'
Gladion focused his own psychic powers on his own mind and gently pulled at threads of his past-life memories. Piece by piece, the information came back. When the full picture formed, his eyes opened wide with sudden excitement.
'Is it Deoxys?' he thought, a real thrill running through him.
If there was one Pokémon he would call the coolest legendary or mythical of all, it would be Deoxys. The alien DNA Pokémon that could change forms, adapt instantly, and look like it came straight out of a science fiction movie.
Gladion felt genuine excitement bubbling inside him. 'Fuck me, fuck me, fuck, I am going to see Deoxys.' He imagined the creature floating in front of him, its smooth body shifting between Attack, Defense, and Speed forms.
The thought of watching it move, fight, and possibly communicate made his heart beat faster. He had always loved Deoxys in his previous life, its design, its mystery, its raw power. Now he might actually meet it in person. The idea felt almost unreal, but the mission details lined up perfectly.
Gladion stood up and began pacing slowly. 'He would be someone pretty tough though. I would need to devise a good enough team to take it down if it really is him and if it comes to a fight.'
He was not planning to catch Deoxys, though he was not against the idea either. He simply wanted to be prepared. A fight with a mythical Pokémon from space could turn dangerous very quickly, and he refused to go in blind.
He gathered the Poke Balls of the Pokémon who would accompany him on this mission. One by one he released them. Almost immediately, a small black ball of energy appeared at his side. Umbreon, Nyx, rubbed affectionately against his leg.
"Nyx, dear," Gladion said softly.
[Master, you finally remembered me. You have ignored me for so long,] Nyx said in a sweet sad voice.
"How can I forget about you when I have been getting complaints from both gym Pokémon and the staff?" Gladion replied. "And what is this I am hearing that you tied up Zeus's tails with each other?"
Nyx tilted her head innocently, but her red eyes sparkled with clear mischief. [He was bullying me, Master, so like a good senior sister I taught my junior brother a lesson.]
She demonstrated her sadistic side without shame. [I waited until he was sleeping after a long training session. Then I used my own tail to tie his tails together in the tightest knots I could make. When he woke up and tried to move, he fell flat on his face. He looked so confused. Then he got angry and tried to shock me, but he could not aim properly with his tails knotted. It was beautiful. He rolled around like a big yellow idiot for ten whole minutes before someone helped him. I sat on the roof and watched the whole thing. Best morning ever.]
Gladion sighed but could not hide a small smile. "Don't be so melodramatic, Nyx. Anyways, I have gathered you all since you would be accompanying me to fight a legendary… again. So be on your best behavior."
His Pokémon nodded seriously. Gladion turned to his Metagross. "Ultron, I would want you always on alert. The one we are against can be sneaky. I want you to be prepared for sneak attacks."
Ultron's eyes glowed faintly. "Understood, Master."
Gladion then looked at Latios and Latias. "Big brother, big sister, I want you out of your Poke Balls to support my team."
Latias tilted her head. "You are saying it is a mythical Pokémon that is equally as strong as a legendary Pokémon?"
"Yup."
"Fascinating," Latios said. "And you are saying it is a Pokémon that we have not seen and that has just landed on the planet."
Gladion explained clearly. "It is the DNA of a space virus that underwent a sudden mutation upon exposure to a laser beam and resulted in this Deoxys."
He continued, "And most important, it has fucking forms. Forms like mega evolution but there is no such buff. He can switch into Attack Form with a lot of power behind his attacking moves. Speed Form makes him as fast as you can think. And then there is Defense Form that makes him almost impregnable. But there are downsides like it becomes weak in other things."
Ultron spoke up in his deep, calm voice. "Master, whatever happened to you must have been quite interesting to give you this much foreknowledge. It must be something special."
Latios and Latias exchanged a knowing look but said nothing. Something that did not escape Gladion.
He thought,'Ugh, they should tell me already what's so wrong with my psychic powers and what they know about my transmigration.'
