After he left, the whole place started crumbling into pieces. We ran as fast as possible, but Ash was left behind. I saw tears coming from her eyes before she closed them, and the collapse ended up burying her.
I had no choice but to run and run. Suddenly, I realized: what if I used the skill [Time of Life and Death]? I stopped running, turned back to her, and tried to find her body, but it seemed the sandstone structures were too big to move.
I tried everything to find her, but suddenly her father approached me.
"We tried everything we could just to find her body," he said. "It seems her body is already smashed because of the structure made of sandstone."
I saw her father crying and I apologized to him for not saving her. Because of me, she died. If only I hadn't put the ring in that keyhole. Someone called out to us saying they had found her body, and I quickly ran over. His father cried seeing her body in that state, but I told him that I was going to use my skill to revive her.
I used my skill, and she was revived successfully. She revived, but she didn't wake up. His father thanked me and hugged me. We brought her body to the hospital, where the doctor said she was in a comatose state. His father was relieved that she was alive, even though he knew she had technically died.
I should take a look at my system.

My stats really did reset. It seemed it was not best to use this skill recklessly. Afterward, her father introduced himself as Henry Cred, and I also introduced myself.Ash suddenly woke up, but there was something weird about her."Where am I? Ugh, my head hurts," she screamed, clutching her head.
Her father suddenly hugged her tightly, but Ash asked, "Who are you?" It seemed she had forgotten everything after I used the skill. It appeared the skill had heavy consequences when used. First, the user's stats reset. Second, the memory of the person I revive will be lost.
The doctor came in and told us she might recover her memory if she rested properly, but I didn't believe that. I knew my skill had its own intrinsic consequences when reviving a life.
I left them alone and went home, still thinking about what had happened back there. The person who was guarding the book had said the ring would protect me. How? I didn't know what this ring was supposed to do. I went to the bathroom to wash myself, and since I didn't have an appetite to eat, I went to sleep early.
The next day, I went to the dungeon to kill those goblins. But the problem was, I didn't think I could even kill them when my stats were set to 1. I thought I should go back to Miami to buy some new skills.
I looked around to buy a skill that didn't use mana. I saw a skill called [Camouflage]. I purchased it, since it looked like a skill that could be bought right away while I was short on money.
I came back to the dungeon to kill those goblins and activated [Camouflage]. I slowly approached one of the goblins from behind, and since it didn't notice me, I used [Force Strike]. Since it didn't consume mana, I successfully killed the goblin, though my camouflage disappeared right after. I cast [Camouflage] again quickly.
However, my stats didn't increase. I had forgotten about the cooldown of my exclusive skill. In this case, I lost my hope of increasing my stats quickly, but I realized that I could still increase my skill rank.
I used the skill numerous times until it increased in rank from E- to B. The effect of the skill increased, now increasing damage by 70% and crit damage by 150%.
It seemed I could kill normal goblins instantly with this skill. I killed those goblins for 10 hours straight until I met the boss. I couldn't easily fight this boss because my stats didn't match his; I might die if I tried to fight him head-on. I quickly used [Camouflage] to run, however, the boss noticed me because of his sensitivity to smell. I had no choice but to run as fast as I could, but the goblin boss was catching up.
Sigh. Damn it, because of my low stats I couldn't run fast enough. I had to fight this monster; I had to take this risk. I ran to the boss's back and hit him with [Force Strike]. The boss was tough, and I only dealt a minimum amount of damage. I used [Camouflage] to increase my movement and attack speed by 10% while increasing my Crit chance by 25%. Then, I used [Force Strike] to deal heavy damage to the enemy. It looked like I succeeded, however, his HP was over a thousand. I kept repeating the same strategy to wear him down, and finally, I killed the boss.
I received a mana core, but it was different from a normal goblin's core. Boss drops were different; this mana core was colored orange. I also received the skill [Taunt] and the title [The Fear of Goblins]. The title increased damage to goblins by 30% and granted a 10% chance to deal an additional 30% of my [Str] stat as damage.
I went to Miami to sell the orange mana core I obtained, and I gained 20 thousand quor. It was enough to buy food and pay the rent. I really needed to kill those goblins nonstop. I also needed to find a better dungeon next time.
Later, I went to the hospital to visit Ash, and I saw she was still in the same state. I met her mother there, who introduced herself. We talked to each other, and she kept talking about how Ash grew up and what she liked. It seemed she really loved her daughter. Her mother and I got closer as we talked about several things we liked, things we wanted to do, and what kind of lives we wanted.
It was funny; finding you made me realize that I was in love with Ash, but we were from different worlds, and I was just a [■■■■■■■]. I am going to get stronger and find a way to recover your memory. I should forget right now that I'm in love with Ash; my current priority is to obtain endless power.
