Ten years ago, before I transmigrated into this world, the world had already been chaotic for 300 years because of the game. Billions of human lives were lost, and the game that destroyed this world had gained its own consciousness; even the developer didn't know what was going on. That game is called Reborn of World Fantasy, also known as ROWF.
The sky changed its color; countless monsters poured out from the sky, and numerous humans tried to escape from the grasp of monsters. Although human life was already on the verge of extinction, humans started to awaken, trying to fight back and continuously killing monsters to gain their freedom. After decades of relentless training and costly battles, humanity won, and they began creating an academy to train the new generation. The people who are awakened are called players, and they are required to enter the academy.
Thinking about how I transmigrated into this world made me feel like my head was going crazy. Ten years ago, I was writing when I suddenly collapsed, even though I didn't have any illnesses.
"Group 27, proceed to the next room and wait for your turn." I stood up and followed the group where we were being called.
Right, I came here to be awakened, to become a player.
"Next, your name is Lucas Ferios. Place your palm in the orb and release the mana that you felt within your body."
I placed my hand on the orb and gathered the mana inside me. It started as a warm current flowing through my veins—no, through every muscle in my body—before surging toward my heart and channeling directly into my hand. Releasing the mana into the orb, a System notification flashed, signaling my awakening. Afterward, I headed to the training center to check my stats in private

My stats were abysmal—strictly F-rank. While most awakeners started with a combined total of around 70 points, mine sat at a pitiful 35. Still, my EX Skill showed promise. [Soul Extract] allowed me to permanently boost random stats depending on the quality of the soul I absorbed. Eager to test it out, I left the Association building and headed straight for the nearest dungeon.
I saw a goblin, but since it's my first time hunting a monster, I couldn't resist the disgust of the goblin's looks. After I killed the Goblin, I gained random stats. "Is this how the skill works?"
[Int 2] -> [Int 3]
"The [Int] stats really increase." So if I kill a strong monster, will it be counted as high quality?
After a few hours, I killed numerous goblins. I gained the title [Goblin Slayer] after killing hundreds of them, and all my stats increased randomly, such as my Agi reaching 20 and Luk reaching 20. I'm getting stronger by just killing monsters.
"But... I couldn't bear the disgusting situation," I muttered, thinking of the smell of the goblins I killed.
After I killed those monsters, I sold the mana core that I obtained, and I went to Miami to buy a few pieces of gear just in case.
After I bought few gears that, I'll use for tomorrow, I went home and i meet a recruiter who pass by asking, I need to join into their Guild although I already told them. I don't need it beside, joining in the Guild will prevent me from entering in multiple dungeons, so I need to stay out.
I want to join in the guild too, but maybe in the future or I'll just create my own Guild. I arrived at the apartment, that I currently staying since I got the job.
In the early morning, I received a message from the system [B■■■■ st■■■ ■■■ ■■■]. It seems like those words are blurred, but I'll need to figure out what the system means by this message, and I need to know why I was transmigrated into this world.
I went to Miami to buy a dagger, sword and equipment that could protect my body from strong monsters. When I went inside the dungeon, it seemed the inside had a different environment, like a cave, a volcano, a cold area, a savanna, an ocean, a forest, and a death valley.
But the monsters are huge and almost triple the size of humans. The monsters are tough and impossible to pierce with normal weapons; that's why I bought this skill [Thrust leap].
This skill seems difficult to control, but this skill might be handy (damage increases by 15% and ignores 30% defense).
I tested my skill, but it consumed all my mana at once. I thought I needed to increase my [Int] to increase the capacity of mana [Mp 36/75], and it looked like I could use it only once; however, my mana recovery only recovered 3.6 per 5 sec. I killed those monsters to increase all my stats and gain skills.
While I was walking, I accidentally stumbled into a horde of goblins too numerous to count. I unsheathed my sword, held it properly, and swung. Although I had no knowledge of their weaknesses, at least I had trained my swordsmanship.
After a few hours, I gained another title, [Goblin Slayer 2], after killing hundreds of goblins. It seemed the titles were upgradeable if I kept killing them. I left the dungeon and noticed it was already dark. I hadn't realized how much time had passed; I needed to rest my body anyway.
I was fighting with tremendous force. That was how I gained the skill [Force strike], which increased the damage by 20% and crit damage by 40%.
"What should I do with this mana core?" I thought I should come back tomorrow and sell these mana cores.
Sigh. It's so tiring. I went home, and I passed by the store for a moment to buy food. After reaching home, another recruiter asked me to join their guild, although I don't want to join right now. The contract seems promising, but I still rejected them.
I went to the Training Center to test myself and train for a few moments there. I met fellow awakeners and constant mocking behind my back; those people kept bothering me, and it was annoying. I wanted to fight, but they seemed stronger than me. It's better to avoid them. I left them behind and let them talk behind my back, and I don't care about them.
I went to Miami and bought the skill [Fireball]. It consumed 20 mana, dealing damage to an enemy equal to 50% of my [Int] stat and scorching the enemy for 10% to 50% of my total [Int] stat.
[Wind blade] consumed 15 mana, dealing damage to an enemy equal to 30% of my [Str], [Dex], and [Agi] stats.
Since I had been killing those monsters, my level increased by 20. My level stopped increasing after surpassing level 20 because of the level gap between the goblins and me, making me unable to level up further.
"System," I mumbled.

I should go to the dungeon called Savane.
The dungeon originally opened in a rice field, and no one knew it would bring disaster to the elderly citizens living nearby. When awakeners conducted the first expedition, they found absolutely nothing and returned home empty-handed.
Five weeks later, however, the portal's color began to shift. Before anyone realized the danger, monsters poured out of the dungeon, destroying everything in sight and mercilessly slaughtering the local residents.
It was a terrifying event that left endless nightmares for the survivors. Awakeners rushed to the scene to rescue the residents and eliminate the monsters. When researchers began studying the anomaly, they discovered that this dungeon was actually a passage leading to multiple other dungeons—a network that would come to be known as Savane.
Savane became a cross-continental passage between countries, as well as a direct portal to a monster realm where creatures were endlessly created and destroyed. Despite its danger, it became humanity's greatest resource.
Savane evolved into one of the most popular trading centers in the entire world, even as it remained a living nightmare. Endless portals kept appearing, acting as pathways to cross the globe. With over fifty portals connecting through this single dungeon, a massive city for awakeners was born inside it, named Chasin.
When I stepped through the portal, I was stunned. Why were there so many awakeners here? I had thought it was just an abandoned dungeon since the local monsters didn't drop any loot. But instead of a wasteland, all I could see was a bustling trading plaza stretching out before me.
"Are you new here, perhaps?" a resident of Savane asked, standing near the gate where he welcomed newcomers.
"Ah, yeah," I replied. It was incredibly strange. As far as I knew, there shouldn't have been a city inside this dungeon, but I never expected the portal would lead straight into an entrance hub like this.
