The second Blake said Amelia’s name again, I decided one of us was leaving this clearing on our feet and it sure as fuck was not going to be him.
I slammed him into the ground hard enough to knock the air out of him.
His back hit dirt and broken flower stems. My knee drove into his chest. My hand locked around his throat before he could twist away, and for one beautiful second all I could hear was his choking and the sound of my own blood roaring in my ears.
He clawed at my wrist.
I tightened my grip.
“You done?” I asked. “Or you got one more stupid fucking thing to say about my mate before I crush your windpipe?”
He coughed, face reddening, eyes burning up at me with that same rotten mix of hate and entitlement that had been pissing me off since the moment he walked into my ceremony.
Around us the battle was finally tipping where it should have tipped from the beginning. My wolves were tearing through the last of Mara’s idiots.
