Long ago the imp demon charged directly at the devil, so he had generated a large amount of flames. He released such a powerful attack, and yet the imp demon kept a straight path.
Maestro had took a deep breath. He was finally able to catch his breath as his body calms down. He looks over to Sylvester, and asked why he decided to help all of sudden. Sylvester responded that if he didn't, Maestro would've died in his current state. Once the headache started he was no longer in condition to fight alone. Maestro confirmed his statement, then thanked him. Sylvester made a sound of disappointment. He stated that something like this wouldn't be a problem for him if they went to the devil bones. The devil would be satisfied, and leave him alone. Maestro yelled out in frustration. He stated that a being like the devil could never be satisfied. He walked off while stating that he was fine. Sylvester followed, trying to bring up another convincing argument, but was cut off by Maestro. He told Sylvester that he had made his decision, and he was sticking to it. The two continued to walk as Sylvester holds in his frustration.
Time passes on as they walk. Sylvester suddenly asked Maestro about Rex. Hearing his name, Maestro froze immediately. He remembered what he saw in his mindscape with Razor. Fortunately, he caught on quick, and had stopped thinking about it. He shakes his head, then states that he doesn't want to talk about it. Suggesting that they changed the subject. Sylvester at this point is showing clear signs of being annoyed. Asking Maestro if he was really that scared of the chaos demon that he couldn't even think about him.
Maestro then angrily asks Sylvester why he asks so many questions. Before Sylvester could answer, Maestro cutted him off stating that he doesn't owe him anymore. He's no longer obligated to answer his triggering questions. Sylvester looked at him in silence. Not knowing how to respond to his statement. Maestro then tells Sylvester that it was ok for him to leave. That since his debt was cleared Sylvester had no reason to stick around with some boring human.
Sylvester got angry hearing this. He yells at Maestro that their partnership had evolved. Stating that he has gotten too invested in Maestro, and wants to see this through to the end. If not then at least a little bit longer. Maestro stopped realizing he heard those words before. He heard the same thing from the devil during his conversation with Razor. Sylvester then grabs onto Maestro shoulders, and looks him in the eyes. He tells him that regardless of the devil bones he just wants to see where Maestro goes next.
Maestro swipes Sylvester's arms off of him as he turns around. He thinks about everything he, and Sylvester went through to get to this point. He sighs in annoyance as he turns back around. He walks past Sylvester, stating to just lay back on the questions. Sylvester was hesitant, but agreed as he follows him. Sylvester then brings up that since Maestro had his demon memories, he could remember what demon food taste like. That he could finally enjoy the cooking's in the underworld. Maestro agreed although he was not happy about it. Sylvester then laughs at him then tells him that he'll be fine. He ate multiple devil bones, so anything else would be a piece of cake. Maestro started thinking about cake hearing the word. Thinking about earth, and remembering that he never got to enjoy his birthday. He would've liked that cake, but now that was just a memory of the past. He holds his head high, stating that he was ready to live a peaceful life in the underworld. Sylvester laughs again at Maestro. Stating that he's never seen a demon care so much about peace. Maestro responded that maybe it was human side still believing it was possible. Sylvester thought to himself for a second. He then realized that Maestro being part human could explain his lack of bloodthirst. Maestro then received yet another headache from the devil. He yells loudly telling Maestro that he'll never be human again. Maestro starts smacking his head. Fighting through the headache as it fades away.
Maestro gets highly frustrated. He angrily states that he's getting annoyed by the frequent headaches he's been getting. Sylvester inputted that it maybe the devil has gotten more active since Maestro was now aware of him. Making their connection more direct. Maestro responded that he wants to directly tell the devil to shut up. Sylvester chuckled then pointed out that it might have something to do with their current location. Maestro was confused at first, but as he looked around he noticed the area. How familiar it felt. He then stopped, and was totally stunned in shock. He couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing. After establishing his new found resolve, he would've never expected to be standing in front of the ring of fire.
