Chapter 21 - Part 25

Long ago the battle in purgatory continued as the imp demon was ready to make his final move. The devil however, was ready to counter the attack, and finally end the battle.

Maestro starts to walk off, but stops suddenly. He turns around, and asks Sylvester if he was going to help. Sylvester sat down on the rocks, and leaned back, getting comfortable. He answered since Maestro didn't need the Rex's help then he definitely didn't need his. Maestro was caught off guard by that response. Hearing the golem in the distance, Maestro rolled his eyes in annoyance as turns back around. He calmed down, and controlled his breathing. He then ran towards the golem at full speed.

The fire golem swung it's hand downwards striking the ground due to it missing Maestro. The attack caused debris to fly up as well. Maestro stood on one of the debris rocks, and jumped off. He clamped his hands together generating a giant flaming hammer. As he got close to the golem's face, he swung the hammer hitting the golem directly. It had recovered quickly, but as soon as it faced forwards, it was immediately struck again by the fire hammer. Due to gravity, Maestro had the momentum he needed to pursue a combo on the fire golem. He spun around swinging the hammer as fast as he could then collided with the golem's face. The force of the hit was strong enough to knock down the golem.

Maestro deactivated his flaming hammer as he falls down. He landed the same time the fire golem had hit the ground. Sylvester was impressed by Maestro's change of strategy. Using larger amounts of flames as well as using gravity for momentum. He states that despite being just a kid he's very skilled. Skills obtained from experience, and adaption. Remembering Maestro's situation, he starts to wonder if the devil bones were responsible for that. Suddenly, both Maestro, and Sylvester felt a shift in the ground. Maestro was surprised to see that the golem was moving.

It had quickly reached it's arm out grabbing Maestro as it stands up. He had tried to jump back to dodge, but he was still in the golem's reach. Maestro could feel the heat from the flames of the golem. It didn't hurt him, but due to the tight grip pressurizing the heat the temperature was increasing. The golem had fully risen back on it's feet. It had lifted Maestro up to head level then roared loudly in his face. Afterwards, Maestro could see the damage he made on the golem. It's head was cracked in the face area. Maestro zoned everything else out as he thinks to himself. Thinking that one more hit should do it. However he was then tossed into the air. Maestro briefly floats mid air as he wonders what's happening. He looked over to the fire golem, and saw it winding back it's right arm as far as it could. His eyes widened in shock, and his body tense up in fear. He did not want to get hit by that attack, but he had no choice at the moment. As it swings downwards, the golem made direct contact with Maestro. The attack was fearsome, and flames spreaded around Maestro covering him completely. He was smacked so hard he didn't just hit the ground, but had trailed through it. Breaking through the surface making a small crater at the end.

Sylvester commented on how that must've hurt. He then yells out sarcastically to keep up the good work. The fire golem began to slowly walk towards Maestro as he struggles to stand up. He starts coughing up lava, and shortly after that head starts to hurt aswell. Sylvester states that it was a bad time for him to get a headache. Maestro was trying to concentrate on the fight, but was being distracted by the devil's voice. Telling him that he was still too weak. That he needed to eat more of his bones. As this was happening, Maestro was also being effected visually. Looking at the golem, it's appearance had changed. All Maestro could see was the devil's skeleton. Which made it appear much larger in size. The devil repeats to Maestro to stop ignoring his destiny, and to eat more devil bones. He closes his eyes as he tries to fight through the headache. Not even realizing that the golem was now right in front of him. Holding it's arm high as it was ready to attack.

Suddenly the golem was hit by a projectile in the back of it's head. The projectile had bursted into green smoke on contact. The golem stopped it's attack, and turned around to see Sylvester. However, he was also standing next to a missile launcher that he had created. He yelled out at the golem to witness the man made monstrosity of humans. He then fires multiple missiles at the golem creating a giant cloud of green smoke. The golem was blinded, and the force of the projectiles was pushing it backwards.

Maestro seeing the green smoke broke the illusion of seeing the devil. His adrenaline had risen once again. He toned out the devil until the headache eventually faded away. Maestro had jumped to the side to get out of the golem's way. He then shoved his hand into the ground, and spawn a large flaming hand. The hand had grabbed the right leg of the golem, causing it to trip over. The fire golem had fell backwards for a second time. Maestro had lifted his hand up then shoved both hands back into the ground. Two flaming hands had arose from the ground on both sides of the fire golems head. The hands interlocked their fingers crushing the golem's skull from the pressure. As Maestro deactivated his flames, the rest of the golem's body had crumbled, and burned into ashes. Maestro breathes heavily as Sylvester approaches, exhausted from the fight.
