Cheng Xiao and Xu Kai arrived at the company and there were reporters outside the company. Xu Kai stepped out of the car and held out his hand for Cheng Xiao; she took his hand and got out of the car as well. The reporters upon seeing the couple rushed forward and started snapping their pictures.
"Are the rumors true?" A reporter asked.
"Miss Cheng, were you really sleeping with your boss to keep the job?" Another asked.
"What a shameless woman." Another sneered.
"Giving all women bad names." Another sneered.
"I will not allow this insult to slide, so you better watch your words." Xu Kai said in a cold tone.
"There will be a conference in the afternoon, you can come and ask all you want but if I see anything malicious posted before the conference you can expect to be jobless.
With the threat in the air, they parted ways and allowed them through. No matter how tempted they were to a write something, they didn't want to lose their jobs if anything happened.
"Are supposed to wait until the afternoon." Someone complained.
"He neither denied nor acknowledged the rumor." Another said.
"Him helping her out of the car, isn't that a confirmation to the rumor." Chimed in another.
Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao walked through hand in hand; they walked into the company still holding hands and all the employees turned and whispered. Xu Kai led the way and Cheng Xiao followed fingers were pointed at her as the whispers started.
Cheng Xiao paid no mind to the rumors and walked with her head held up high. She walked with him to the elevator; she came out of when it hit her floor, she said bye and walked to her department. When they saw her, they started sneering.
"If it isn't our infamous queen." Someone sneered.
"The mistress returns, who knew she really worked hard." Another said.
"Don't mind them." Su Li said when Cheng Xiao sat down.
"I did nothing wrong, so I won't let it get to me." Cheng Xiao replied with a smile.
"She believes she did nothing wrong." Someone said.
"Such thick face." Another sneered.
"Two shameless tramps who seduced their way into climbing the social ladder." Someone said.
"Birds of the same feathers do really flock together." Someone sneered.
"Did you imply that about me?" Su Li asked turning to the person.
"If the shoe fits." The woman retorted back.
