Aidan didn't stop; his eyes were empty and hollow when he was lying on the armchair, injured, pretending things were normal. But seeing Raven made his eyes glint. They had turned on the air conditioner of every room, so Aidan doesn't get an infection when they treated his wound, and for some other mysterious reason too.
It was cold.
But she brought with herself a strange warmness. His mood improved a little.
Too bad he couldn't let her linger any longer.
So, he took the moment to capture her presence.
"I don't know. Why did you do this? Things get hard, I understand, but…doing something stupid to yourself." Raven sat back on the corner of his bed and said, thoughts clouding her.
"You have such capable men by your side; whatever bothered you, they could have handled it." Raven said.
"You are worried about me." Aidan whispered.
"Of course I am." Raven said, "Anyone in my place would have been."
