-------------------------------------------------

Big Chuck and Venomira continued staring at one another.

One looked ready to continue the fight.

The other looked ready to continue discussing wedding plans.

Meanwhile, Charlotte and Dorothy were still glaring at the Poison Devil as though they had completely forgotten an actual battle was taking place.

"I already said no."

Charlotte's briars continued growing across the battlefield.

Dorothy floated beside her with folded arms.

"And we're repeating it."

"No."

Venomira sighed dramatically.

"You two are making this unnecessarily difficult."

"I wasn't proposing to either of you."

She pointed toward Big Chuck.

"I proposed to him."

Charlotte immediately answered.

"And he hasn't accepted."

"He also hasn't rejected."

Charlotte's eyebrow twitched violently.

"..."

The Poison Devil smiled victoriously.

"I'll take that as progress."

Several captains simultaneously facepalmed.

Yami pinched the bridge of his nose.

"...Can somebody please hit somebody already?"

Jack nodded.

"This conversation is giving me more damage than the fight."

Big Chuck finally decided enough was enough.

The bizarre argument had gone on long enough.

If they continued talking...

The battle would never move forward.

His enormous body suddenly leaned backward.

The emerald glow within his stomach intensified once more.

Venomira immediately became alert.

"Oh?"

"My poison again?"

Big Chuck's belly expanded dramatically.

Then—

He opened his gigantic mouth.

"BWOOOOOOOM!!"

A relentless barrage erupted from within.

Every poison sphere...

Every venom projectile...

Every toxic attack Venomira had launched since the battle began...

Exploded outward like a living artillery barrage.

Dozens.

Hundreds.

Crimson.

Purple.

Black.

Every poisonous attack she had previously used came flying back toward her simultaneously.

Only this time—

Each one carried an emerald glow.

Each one had been amplified by Big Chuck's digestion.

Venomira's crimson eyes widened.

"...Again?!"

The battlefield instantly became a storm of poisonous projectiles.

Unlike before, this wasn't a single attack.

It was an endless rain.

One poison sphere narrowly missed Venomira's shoulder.

Another exploded behind her.

A third grazed one of her wings.

She vanished repeatedly through space, avoiding every incoming attack by the narrowest margins.

Each time one of the attacks struck the ground—

BOOM!

Explosions erupted throughout the battlefield.

Massive craters appeared one after another.

Poisonous clouds filled the night sky.

The entire battlefield looked as though several armies were exchanging magical artillery.

Even the captains found themselves shielding the villagers from stray explosions.

Yami looked toward Ben.

"...That alien is ridiculous."

Fuegoleon nodded.

"He essentially turned her own attacks into ammunition."

Venomira finally reappeared high above the battlefield.

Her breathing had become slightly uneven.

Not because she was injured.

Because she was excited.

"Hehehe..."

She laughed while looking down.

"I haven't enjoyed myself like this in centuries."

Then...

She paused.

Because Big Chuck had stopped attacking.

The enormous alien simply stood there.

Quietly.

The Omnitrix symbol on his chest suddenly illuminated.

Click.

Venomira tilted her head.

"...Changing already?"

Big Chuck placed one stubby hand over the Omnitrix.

"I've learned enough."

His deep alien voice echoed across the battlefield.

"You can digest poison."

Venomira smiled.

"...But I need something else."

He pressed down on the Omnitrix symbol.

The transformation immediately disengaged.

Brilliant emerald light exploded outward once more.

Big Chuck's enormous body rapidly shrank.

The oversized stomach disappeared.

His proportions shifted back toward human.

Within seconds—

Ben stood where Big Chuck had been.

Without even giving Venomira time to react—

Ben immediately reached for the Omnitrix again.

Click.

The dial sprang upward.

Green holographic silhouettes began rotating one after another.

Heatblast...

Four Arms...

Ghostfreak...

Big Chuck...

Ben's fingers continued turning the dial.

His eyes rapidly scanned each silhouette.

Venomira watched with immense curiosity.

"So that's how you choose..."

Finally—

The dial stopped.

A tall, crystalline silhouette appeared.

Ben smiled slightly.

"This should work."

Without hesitation—

He slammed the Omnitrix downward.

SLAM!

A pillar of radiant emerald light engulfed his body.

The transformation began.

His skin crystallized.

Sharp emerald crystals burst outward from his arms.

His entire body rapidly expanded.

Crystalline plates formed over his chest.

His hands became enormous crystal blades.

His face elongated into an elegant, faceted structure that reflected the moonlight like a living gemstone.

The Omnitrix symbol settled proudly upon the center of his chest.

The emerald light slowly faded.

Standing where Ben once had...

Was a towering crystal warrior.

His entire body gleamed like polished emerald diamonds.

The surrounding lantern light reflected beautifully across every crystal surface.

The children stared with sparkling eyes.

"So pretty..."

Even Venomira looked genuinely impressed.

"My..."

She slowly smiled.

"You're beautiful."

The crystal alien straightened proudly.

Then struck a confident pose.

His deep voice echoed across the battlefield.

"DIAMONDHEAD!"

Sharp crystalline spikes erupted from beneath his feet as his declaration echoed throughout the barrier.

The atmosphere changed instantly.

Unlike Big Chuck's defensive approach...

Diamondhead radiated pure offensive power.

Even Venomira could feel it.

For the first time since the battle began...

The Poison Devil stopped smiling quite so confidently.

The moment Diamondhead completed his transformation, the playful atmosphere that Big Chuck had created vanished.

A calm, focused expression settled across Ben's crystalline face.

He had already learned everything he needed.

Venomira's poison was extraordinarily potent.

It could corrode flesh, mana, earth, and even souls.

Now...

He wanted to know whether it could corrode Taydenite, the nearly indestructible crystal that formed Diamondhead's body.

Without wasting another second, Diamondhead thrust both palms onto the ground.

BOOM!!

Emerald mana surged through the earth.

The entire battlefield trembled violently.

Large cracks spread across the ground before countless emerald crystals erupted upward with explosive force.

CRACK!!

CRACK!!

CRACK!!

Gigantic crystal pillars intertwined with one another, rapidly growing higher and thicker.

Within seconds...

A massive circular wall of brilliant green crystal surrounded both Diamondhead and Venomira, completely separating them from everyone else.

The crystal enclosure towered over the battlefield like the walls of a gemstone fortress.

Outside...

Charlotte frowned.

"...He trapped himself inside?"

Julius smiled knowingly.

"No..."

"He's creating a controlled battlefield."

Yami folded his arms.

"He wants to test something."

Inside the crystal arena...

Venomira slowly looked around.

Moonlight reflected across thousands of perfectly smooth crystal surfaces, causing the entire enclosure to shimmer like the inside of an enormous emerald jewel.

"...Beautiful."

She genuinely sounded impressed.

She floated toward one of the crystal walls.

Unlike before...

There wasn't even the slightest hostility in her movements.

Instead...

Her curiosity had taken over.

She slowly reached out.

One elegant finger tapped against the crystal.

Tink.

A clear, bell-like sound echoed through the enclosure.

Venomira blinked.

She pressed harder.

Nothing happened.

Then she ran her fingers across the smooth surface.

"...Cold..."

She smiled.

"...And perfectly refined."

Her crimson eyes sparkled with admiration.

"I've seen countless mineral-based magics..."

"But this..."

She gently knocked against the crystal several more times.

Tok. Tok. Tok.

"...This is exceptional."

Even she couldn't hide her appreciation.

"What remarkable craftsmanship."

Diamondhead simply stood silently several meters away, watching her inspect the walls.

Venomira eventually turned toward him.

A small smile spread across her lips.

"You continue to surprise me."

Then...

Her expression became more serious.

"But admiration alone isn't enough."

She slowly raised one hand.

Dark violet mana gathered above her fingertips.

"If these crystals truly impress me..."

"They should survive this."

An enormous magic circle bloomed into existence.

Unlike her previous attacks, this spell wasn't explosive.

Instead...

A thick stream of viscous purple liquid slowly emerged from the center of the circle.

The liquid hissed continuously.

Where even a single drop fell...

The air itself seemed to decay.

Corrosion Poison Magic.

Venomira casually pointed toward the crystal wall.

"Let's see..."

"...how long your beautiful creation lasts."

The torrent shot forward.

SHHHHHHHHH!!

The corrosive poison splashed directly against the towering crystal barrier.

Immediately...

The liquid began eating away at its surface.

Violent hissing filled the enclosed arena.

Purple fumes rose everywhere.

Outside the enclosure, the captains watched in complete silence.

Everyone expected the crystal to begin melting.

After all...

They had witnessed this poison rot everything it touched.

Stone.

Metal.

Mana.

Even devil poison.

Surely...

Crystal would be no different.

Yet...

Seconds passed.

The hissing continued.

The poison writhed across the emerald surface like a living creature desperately searching for something to consume.

But...

Nothing happened.

The crystal remained exactly as it was.

Smooth.

Brilliant.

Untouched.

Not a single crack appeared.

Not a single fragment dissolved.

The poison simply clung to the surface before slowly dripping harmlessly to the ground.

Venomira stared.

"..."

She blinked once.

Then twice.

Slowly, she walked closer to the wall.

Her fingers brushed away the remaining poison.

The emerald crystal beneath was flawless.

There wasn't even the faintest sign of corrosion.

"...Impossible."

She whispered.

Diamondhead finally spoke.

His deep, crystalline voice echoed throughout the enclosure.

"My crystal isn't ordinary."

"It has endured attacks far stronger than acid."

Venomira placed her palm flat against the wall again.

This time...

Not to admire it.

To confirm what her eyes were telling her.

The result remained the same.

Her corrosion poison...

The very poison that dissolved almost everything in existence...

Had completely failed.

For several long moments...

She simply stood there.

Then...

A delighted laugh escaped her lips.

"Hehehe..."

It quickly grew louder.

"Hahahahaha!"

She turned toward Diamondhead with eyes positively shining.

"You've done it again."

Her smile became impossibly wide.

"First you ate my poison..."

"Now you've made something..."

"...my corrosion can't digest."

She rested her chin on one hand.

Her expression was no longer that of a conqueror facing an enemy.

It was that of an obsessed researcher standing before a discovery that defied centuries of accumulated knowledge.

"I was already interested..."

She smiled warmly.

"But now..."

Her crimson eyes locked onto Diamondhead.

"...I'm absolutely convinced."

"I simply must bring you back to the Underworld."
