Aldana Candi looked up at his face. He wore a gentle smile, his chestnut hair appeared translucent in the sunlight, as if diffused with a faint halo, making his entire face seem amiably unthreatening.
Brought to the shore, Aldana lowered her head to look at her feet, covered in wet sand, while across from her were Jimmy Blythe's feet in leather shoes, which were soaked due to helping her down.
Aldana moved her lips and couldn't help but softly say, "Aren't you going to change your shoes?"
Jimmy smiled, took off his shoes and socks in front of her, and tossed the leather shoes to Redhead standing not far away, "Take these and throw them away."
Redhead gave them a cheeky grin and winked, revealing a rather ambiguous smile, and walked away with Jimmy Blythe's shoes hanging by the laces.
Aldana said, "Your shoes must have been expensive, right?"
Jimmy asked, "Why, are you planning to compensate me?"
"No, it wasn't my fault they got wet."
Jimmy said, "That's debatable."
