As usual, breakfast was noodles, cooked by Eric. His cooking skills weren't exceptional, but he had a good sense of timing. The noodles were always just right, neither overcooked and soft nor undercooked and hard.
"Guoguo is coming back tomorrow, right?" Ellen slurped some noodles. "This kid, I wonder who her mother really is. Every time Elias visits Norris, she insists on tagging along."
Aldana used her chopsticks to separate the egg yolk, and upon hearing Ellen's complaint, she smiled. "If she likes going, let her go. I'm not able to take her out to play due to my leg, so I'm comfortable with Elias taking her."
Ellen poked at the egg yolk, muttering, "Is this taking care of a child, or is it more like raising a child spouse..."
Eric tapped Ellen's bowl with his chopsticks, "Eat properly and don't talk so much nonsense."
"You really are..." Ellen shot a glance at Eric, then saw Aldana's expression. Knowing she had misspoken, her voice faded, and she held her bowl in silence.
