There would be many Balancer organisations and families that would struggle to find work for themselves.
They would be unable to sustain their business for long, especially if they had no work to do for quite some time.
Some would reach a point where they would have no money left, or they would end up going into debt.
If that happened, then they had to consider other options that they could take to be able to support themselves.
The only way to ensure that they would be able to continue working as a Balancer or Watcher was to give up on their present Balancer organisation or family allegiances to join another that was more successful and was looking to recruit new people.
If that option was not available, then they needed to seek out work from what was available from most ordinary job roles.
