After that DNA test reveals, Arturo has a video call with his family back in Pampanga, the Philippines, through his laptop. He informed them of the results. "Ma, pa," he said, "Atsushi-kun here is really our distant relative!"
He then moved aside so Atsushi would take over with tears of unbelievably on a family branch he had never known. Arturo's Korean-Filipino family was welcoming to him.
"Hey!" Amihan said. "Kuya Atsushi, if you come over here, you'll taste Palabok and Lechon, too!"
Atsushi then smiled at him.
Dazai wanted to have a peek, but an upset Kunikida shoved his ass out of the way. "Don't disturb the family reunion, you waste of bandages!"
A week had passed since then. Arturo had been purchasing Filipino snacks for Ranpo to munch on and give a review on, and he became used with the chaotic energy of the ADA.
"This Cream-O's house design on the cracker sandwiches is unique for a cracker…" Ranpo commented, "…but the sweetness of the vanilla cream is just right. As for the Fita Crackers, they're like the Filipino version of Ritz Crackers. They're equally good, and the saltiness is just right for a cracker."
One day, a letter of offer to a high-end university was given to Arturo. Suspicious, he researched the sender, and it was clear that someone named Mori Ougai was the one who, according to Arturo's reasoning and analysis, sent it to try to win him over.
"Smart…" Arturo muttered.
So, with a marker, he scribbled a big "no" in Japanese, Korean, Kapampangan, and Tagalog on the letter:
Korean: 아니요 - aniyo
Tagalog: hindi
Kapampangan: ali
Japanese: いいえ - Īe
He then shredded it through the paper shredder. He wasn't done, though…
He put it in a small box and sent it back to Mori in his office. Mori received it via a courier and opened the box. It had a note from the shadow student: "My loyalty isn't for sale, Mori-san. Nice try."
Mori didn't get upset; he was amused by the tricks of the Korean Filipino student. "He is getting cleverer than I thought…."
Chuuya, however, wasn't having it and went out to hunt down Arturo. "Don't tell me that brat was the one who lied to me in a convenience store when he was selecting a dry tonkatsu pork…"
