Chapter 103 - Found You

AUTHOR'S POV

The flames surged higher. The thick smoke swallowed the forest too quickly, that Diana vanished in Scott's eyes from the other realm. Roman's voice who kept calling her name softened as the blazing fire punish the earth. He didn't even felt relief despite hearing the voices of Cory and Lucas who arrived at the wildfire. Scott held his breath, trying the best that he could to sense Diana. He didn't stopped reaching to reality. Waving his hands in the air unti lhe grips on something. What was clear is that he could only stand there, and become a ghost to the only person that mattered to him.

Scott refused to do nothing. He then radiated his rage aura to break himself free. His power shook the place that held him in. Into the ground. Into the air. And everything unseen. He gave it all, straining every part of his body to release the power an Alpha could make.

"Stop!!", Behind him was Wren... stilled, watching in disbelief catching his small breaths while Scott tear the fabric of their realm. "You'll break yourself!!!", Wren tried to stop Scott, but his power was unparalleled to the Alpha's burgeoning force.

"Then I break", Scott growled, forcing his power deeper. As Scott rupture a gap, the fire from the forest pushed in, crossing boundaries.

All hell break loose in the realm. The fire easily spread in the world of the lytharians as it climb the trees in hungry spirals, devour barks, and consume the leaves. The heat warped the air, destroying the serenity of the realm. As the fire ruin everything it touches, the lythari elves wailed on the only thing they fear the most - fire. Their knees trembled in tremendous terror at the sight of it, losing their minds in hysteria at the presence of the hot, burning blaze causing rapture in their fragile lives.

Wren couldn't even lift a finger to help his people. He stood still in complete shock on the sudden turn of events. His masterplan was to only hold Diana captive for a while in order to convince Alpha Scott to become the vessel of the meta-power transfer. Just as how he was told to do. Make Scott become a part of a ritual that would save their specie. It was never his intention to slaughter his entire family and destroy his home. And in one fire sweep, the lythari elf clan of the Valley of the Falls were all gone.

The tear that Scott made in the realm was burning in great fire, that it was unable for him to push himself out. The screaming elves burning to death were nothing to him. And then, Scott faced Wren as he send his rage aura to the torment lythari. "And now… you die", Scott darkened his eyes walking closer to Wren.

Wren raised his hands and begged to spare his life. "No, please!! Don't!!", Wren crawled backwards pleading to Scott. "I can help you! I'll be your servant!! I will.. I WILL SERVE YOU!", Wren exclaimed.

With his death stare focused on Wren, Scott just continued walking closer filling the entire realm with his rage aura stronger than before. No words would stop him. He was tired of the lies, and of the wasted times. Suddenly, Wren slowly felt an excruciating pain from his legs up to his chest. Squirming down on his knees, he breathe heavily and attempted to beg more. "Your..Luna!! I was told she is the key... to get to you! We were just asked to... do this!", Wren exclaimed in heavy breaths, but Scott continued to torture his entire body with his aura. Without any remorse, Scott swiftly went over Wren and broke every bone in his tiny body with his bare hands. Something that he thought he must have done long before.

The force field of the realm broke at the last breath of Wren, releasing Scott in the middle of the burning bushes. He stumbled on one knee, as the real forest rush back into place around him. It was suffocating being in there as the smoke fill his lungs. "Diana!!", he stood coughing, trying to sense where Diana is. As he search, Scott shunned from the falling aflame trees and branches. He steered clear out of the fiery tall shrubs not minding the burns that he caught on his hands, back, and arms. The heat clawed his skin and the fire continued raging. Everything is real now. "Diana!!", Scott then followed some shoe tracks that led him to a safe zone where there's less fire. There, he met Cory and Lucas who both looked like have survived an ordeal.

"Did you burned the forest down?", Lucas asked, seeing Scott covered in soot.

"Don't look at me! I'm a nature-goddamn-lover!! I don't even have light with me to start a fire… Hey Alpha? Did you..", before he could even ask, Scott was already glowering at Cory. "…uhh.. what I'm trying to ask is.. Are you safe? You have burns! Let me lick them for you. I am so worried about you.. he he", Cory said, forcing a smile at Scott.

"Find Diana, she's around here somewhere", Scott ordered as he climb up a tree to find Diana up above. With no leads, he sighed sharply as he leaped from one tree to another. The other two scattered and combed the forest, searching for the Luna too. It's harder this time, as the temperature rises. Somewhere in the forest, they saw Roman and his pack searching for Diana as well. And now, the tension rose as to whomever finds her first.

Yelling and screaming Diana's name, the three wolves searched everywhere for the Luna. The water fairies started to extinguish the fire, as they produce light rains to stop the disaster from destroying the rest of the forest. The cold drizzles caressed Scott's cheeks as he walk up ahead where he hears the flowing stream. He grunted at the terrible feeling at a loss for his Luna. 'Where are you, Diana?', he thought. Scott looked up the sky and saw the waning moon accompanied by the evening star. He closed his eyes and breathe deeply. "Diana, I'll find you. May we be under the same sky or not. I'll find you", he uttered, without thoughts of stopping to look for her.

"I'm right here, Scott", a voice hushed in the wind catching Scott's attention. It was not loud. Not desperate. Just... there. From then, he stopped looking around. "Come", it called him. His name was carried through the crackles of burning trees, threading through the flames like it had always known how to find him. "Scott..", there it was again.

"Luna..", Scott was pulled forward, cutting through the ruins. Closer and closer until his world softened. He reached a stream flowing through the forest, untouched by the blaze. Its waters whispering over smooth stones as if the inferno behind him doesn't exist.

There she was.

Standing by the stream in a white dress, covered with a dark cloak. He forged ahead, as Diana pull the hood back. Her figure was quiet against the shimmer of water. Untouched and unharmed. And was totally unreal. Scott stepped forward. Then faster, until he was running. Nothing can slow him down now. With much anticipation he swiftly locked her in his arms and said, "Found you". Relief hit him hard, sharp enough that it almost hurt. His force pulling her closer spoke of every moment that he have lost, and every second he thought he'd never have her back. "I've got you..", he breathe into her hair. Diana didn't moved. In fact, she didn't hugged him back. His grip loosened, just enough to feel her. Pulling back, he looked at her, meeting her eyes. They were empty. Neither cold, nor afraid. Completely empty. Like a sky with no stars. The silence rose, thin and fragile with an understanding that the search for his Luna doesn't ends here.
