Shard had realized earlier that the four apples serving as targets were not ordinary fruits. First, their hardness was astonishing, and secondly, they were imbued with the Whisper Element, indicating that these apples were one of the items produced by the "Darkmoon Circus."
As the "competition" ended, the people watching from the stage dispersed, and Laster Edwards drifted in front of Shard, complimenting his excellent performance. Tifa, along with two Maids, walked onto the stage and softly explained to Shard:
"The Darkmoon Circus produces many unique derivative specialties. These event-type relics are always like this—dangerous but highly valuable. Take this, for example—the golden apple."
Shard picked up the apple, finding that it had indeed turned into a heavy pure gold object. Yet upon close sniffing, it still emitted a refreshing apple scent.
