"Wait!" Shannon yelled as she walked next to Liana to calm her down. "That monster is too fast for your own good. None of us can catch them." Shannon is the calmest in certain situations. She can solve the most complicated cases ever since she graduated from Magic academy and became a supernatural detective. She only investigates strange phenomena that are happening recently in the world. But there's one case she could not solve.
Liana calms herself since Shannon is so calm about it. "Then what are we supposed to do?" Liana crosses her arm as she adjusts her umbrella. Knowing that if she succeeded, she could graduate.
"First let's discuss what we know about this monster." Shannon starts to think. Then she looked at Kashi. "What do you know about this monster?"
Kashi sits next to the tree leaning back as he's still hurt and exhausted even though he drank some potion. "Well" Kashi tries to recall. "I have never seen a monster that has high energy. Besides the mythical beast that comes out of the gate, this is too much."
Shannon thought for a second. "What else did you see?"
"Oh, and there's a black thing on the stomach. I believe that's a crystal but I don't think it's a crystal at all. It is almost as if it was modified. And he keeps saying that he's a failure." Kashi explains while Flame, on the other hand, was lost in thought.
Shannon's eyebrows widen. "Liana, we found some clues."
"So these men aren't useless as I thought." Liana felt relieved for a second.
"What are you talking about?" Kashi asked in bewilderment.
Shannon looks at Kashi's clothes, then she looks at Liana. Liana nods in agreement that there's no harm in telling them. "Fine, I guess I can tell you. Do you know about Supernatural, Detective?" Kashi shakes his head. "That's to be expected. It's a job that I get to investigate unusual stuff that no ordinary person could. Ghosts, monsters, and gates. I can solve it." She pauses for a second. "But the problem is this strange case that is yet to be solved. Kashi, that's your name? You look like you know a lot about crystals. Care to explain?"
"Wait, we already know that, so why bother to explain?" Liana interrupted.
Shannon shakes her head. "Just watch." Then she turned to Kashi, "Well?"
Kashi doesn't know what she's planning, but he proceeds to explain. "The crystals all have different colors, and there's only seven of them. Red means fire, blue means water, Orange is earth, green is air, yellow is electric, and the last two white and purple mean light and dark. Those crystals can be fused in an item called enhancement. These crystals have no limits. Although they can run out of supplies, they can fill it right back up, like magic."
"And what do you know about black crystals?" Shannon asked.
Kashi has trouble answering that question. "Black crystal? I never heard or seen anything like that." Then he realized. "Wait, don't you mean that black crystal was inside that monster?"
Shannon nods. "Yes. An element that we have never seen before. But it was not similar to darkness. But it is really sinister. I hope it wasn't similar to Evil organization that is a threat."
"What are you trying to say?" Kashi shuttered.
Liana "Use that stupid brain of yours!" Liana steps in feeling frustrated. "It was artificially created. Someone modified that crystal and fused it into the body." Liana shouted because she knows that if we talk for a long time, that orc will kill some more victims."
The shock overwhelmed Kashi's head. "There's no way! Why would they do that?"
"They somehow use that monster as tools, and use it as 'enhancement' The one you mention, is a living thing," Shannon explained in a calm voice. Which is why we need to retrieve it so we can examine it in a magic academy."
Liana finally sighs "So where is it? That monster!" She is anticipating so she can graduate herself.
"But first we need a plan." Shannon stops Liana by her shoulder. Liana groans. "We'll use bait." As she looks at Flame.
"Ok, I'm in," Liana suddenly agrees.
As Shannon explained the plan that she came up with. Kashi had to interpret what Shannon said in sign language and the situation of the Orc. Flame agrees to that plan. Since Flame is the fastest and most sneaky out of everyone in the group, he's more suited as bait.
"Remember at the guild, how one or two people went missing, however, a group of 3 or more people is fine? So we are going to lure that Orc and take them down. Pretty simple right." She winks.
Flame asks "So what should I do?" Kashi had to interpret what he said.
"Just act like you lost your dummy." Liana rolled her eyes. "Men" she whispers. Somehow Flame understood what she meant and got irritated.
"After the ambush, if we take the source of that black crystal, for sure it will lose its power, or better, die." Then she looks at the team, "Then we're ready."
However, a sudden light of blue electricity strikes in the distance causes an enormous roar in the forest. A strong wind blew from that direction.
"What was that!?" Kashi yelled in shock.
A monster, the same orc, flew right in across the distance toward Flame and the other as it hit the tree, causing it to fall. The orc was passed out, unable to react to anything.
Flame felt a sudden powerful surge, stronger than Orc. No. it is way stronger than Orc. But then disappear in an instant. He holds out his knife as a mysterious person walks towards the group.
"Who's there?" Shannon asked the stranger while being on guard.
A mysterious man emerges with a disappointed look. "So you're not Eliza? Tsk," He said as he picked his nose. "That monster annoyed me, so I taught him a lesson. That's all." He threw a booger in the air. "Man… Where is she?"
The entire group was frozen, unable to process what happened as Orc was knocked out.
