Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven: The De-Indexing Game

In his office, Julian was navigating a different kind of architecture. Helena Valerius's digital erasure was nearly complete, but her physical presence was still a problem. She needed to move, and Aethelgard was a grid.

"We need a route," Julian said to the empty room. "One that doesn't trigger a camera, a payment portal, or a public transport log."

His monitor displayed a heat-map of the city's data traffic. Some streets were vibrant with red light; others were cool with blue. He needed the blue. He needed the 'Zero-Zones.'

He accessed the Under-Registry, a connection established with Elara's help. The map that materialized was a revelation. It didn't show streets; it showed vectors. It showed a path through an abandoned railway tunnel, a service entrance behind the Municipal Museum that only worked at 4:14 AM, and a derelict coal barge that offered passage across the canal without a record.

It was a path made of shadows and silence, and it had been curated by generations of people who had needed to disappear.

Elara, on her own monitor, watched the blue dots of a simulated route pulsing across her screens. She was cross-referencing Julian's data with the physical integrity of the structures. The tunnel roof is weak here. The barge will trigger the river-patrol sensor if it moves before 3:00 AM.

She was his reality check. She was the one who knew which shadows were safe and which were traps. In the digital landscape, they were building a blueprint for a escape.
