The siren's slender hands slowly reached out to clasp her trident. A wide grin spread across her monstrous face as she clasped the weapon. Amanda's eyes narrowed at her. Looking for any reason to cut the siren's head from her body.
This caused her to sigh and exclaim.
"Will you relax? I said I'd help you."
Amanda folded her arms.
"Forgive me if I don't trust a sociopathic sea monster."
The siren did nothing but smile at her words. Strangely, it looked as if she were enjoying herself. The siren's once weakened body seemed to become more vigorous the moment she touched the trident.
She raised the weapon into the air, and immediately a wave came crashing into the beach, pulling us back into the ocean. Amanda hopped onto my back immediately as we were pulled away.
