Inside a dimly lit office room, Blood sat. A thin smile spread across his face as he stared across the desk.
He had his phone up to his ear as he took a very important call.
It was from an unexpected person, and the message itself shocked him deeply.
After all he'd seen and experienced, there weren't many things that surprised Blood since he always kept an open mind, knowing anything could happen, but this was far beyond the bounds of what he thought was possible.
This was a situation he would never foresee in a million years. And a part of him doubted what he was hearing.
He sat silently, stunned, before clearing his throat and answering the person on the other end of the line.
"Tell him I accept his terms, but if he does anything stupid, I'll kill her instantly. I'll message you the details of where and when we'll be meeting."
With that, he hung up his phone and placed it down on his desk, his eyes drifting up to the girl sitting across from him.
