Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7:

Ratrangasan stood still, his gaze fixed on Mithradevi.

"For my sake… she lost her hand…For me… she was even ready to give her life…"

A rare softness passed through his eyes.

"I will marry her. I will make her my queen. I will protect her… no matter what."

With that resolve, he walked toward her and sat beside her.

"Why did you do this?" he asked quietly."What have I ever done for you? I have never even spoken to you properly… yet, how could you love me?"

Mithradevi looked at him gently.

"I don't know how to explain it," she said softly."But when I am with you… I feel safe. I feel happy. That is enough for me."

She paused, her voice trembling slightly.

"I don't know why… but I like you… more than anything."

For the first time in a long while—

Ratrangasan smiled.

Seeing that, Mithradevi smiled too.

Soon, their marriage was conducted in a grand ceremony.

From that day on, they lived happily.

For a brief moment…

Peace existed in Ratrangasan's life.

Months passed.

One day, the queen was with child.

Hearing the news, the king was overwhelmed with joy.

From that moment, Ratrangasan became even more protective of Mithradevi. He ensured her safety at every step.

As time went on, the day of childbirth arrived.

Inside the chamber, tension filled the air.

Moments later, a maid rushed out and placed a newborn child in the king's hands.

"My lord… a prince is born."

Happiness beyond words filled Ratrangasan's heart.

But that happiness lasted only a moment.

Another voice followed—

"My lord… we could not save the queen…"

Silence.

Ratrangasan froze.

His mind refused to accept it.

"Why…?"

"Why does this always happen to me…?"

He muttered to himself, broken beyond repair.

After performing Mithradevi's final rites, he returned to the palace—empty.

From that moment, he made a decision.

"My son… must live."

But the world was filled with enemies.

So, he secretly named his son and entrusted him to someone unknown.

No one knew where the prince was.

No one—

Except Ratrangasan.

From then on, he ruled alone.

He had no one left—

Except a hidden hope.

The name Ratrangasan became a symbol of fear.

And the Gandharva Kingdom became an unstoppable empire.

"Rudrasenan… this is all I know."

The old man finished speaking to Agan.

Meanwhile…

Inside the palace, Ratrangasan sat in deep thought.

The minister approached him.

"My lord, what troubles you? You seem restless."

Ratrangasan sighed.

"For the past few days… I have not slept well.I feel… as if my son is in danger."

The minister tried to reassure him.

"Do not trouble your mind, my lord."

Then he continued—

"There is a message. Vajra Munivar wishes to meet you immediately."

Ratrangasan stood up.

"Then we leave at once."

They traveled swiftly and reached a massive cave.

Inside, Vajra Munivar was deep in meditation.

"Welcome, Ratrangasan," the sage said.

"I called you here for an important reason."

"What is it, Munivar?" asked the king.

The sage opened his eyes slowly.

"A death star… one that appears once in a hundred years…has risen in the sky—facing our land."

Ratrangasan's expression hardened.

"What does that mean?"

"It signifies destruction."

"The Gandharva Kingdom… is heading toward its end."

Shock filled the air.

"Can you explain the danger?" Ratrangasan asked.

The sage nodded.

"A powerful being has set his eyes upon your land."

"Who?"

"The king of Kaangini Desam…Ranadev Billa."

"He possesses countless mystical powers.Every land he sets his eyes upon… becomes his."

"And now…"

"His gaze has fallen upon the southern lands."

Ratrangasan clenched his fists.

The sage continued—

"He also wields a weapon like yours… filled with dark powers."

"You are about to face an enemy unlike any you have ever known."

He paused.

"And one more thing…"

"His eyes have fallen upon the Land of the Dead as well."

Ratrangasan fell silent.

But deep inside—

A belief remained.

"As long as Kaladhiran stands… nothing will happen."

He left.

But unease followed him.

Back in the palace, he wrote a message and summoned a strange bird.

It carried the message—and vanished within seconds.

"Prepare the army," he ordered.

Suddenly—

A soldier rushed in, screaming in fear.

"My lord… Ka… Ka… Kaalar…"

He collapsed.

Dead.

Ratrangasan and the minister rushed toward the border.

What they saw—

Was terrifying.

A massive wall surrounded the forest region.

No human could climb it.

But beyond it—

Countless Yokai creatures gathered.

They resembled humans—but were not.

Dark, twisted beings.

For years, magical sounds had controlled them.

But now—

That control was gone.

"They are coming out…"

Fear spread among the soldiers.

Ratrangasan raised his voice.

"No one should panic! They cannot cross this wall. Stay alert. I will find a solution."

But things were already changing.

The creatures grew more aggressive.

They began attacking the wall.

Back in the palace, Ratrangasan searched desperately for answers.

Nothing.

He returned to the forest to find the sage.

There—

He found not one…

But two sages.

Vajra Munivar.

And Jala Munivar.

After hearing everything, Ratrangasan asked:

"How do I stop this?"

Vajra Munivar spoke calmly.

"For years, sound controlled them. But now, due to the death star… that control is gone."

"As long as that star watches your land… nothing can restrain them."

Ratrangasan's voice hardened.

"Then what do we do?"

The answer came—

Cold.

Unavoidable.

"You cannot control them anymore."

"There is only one way."

"To destroy them."

"But they cannot be killed…" Ratrangasan said.

The sage looked directly into his eyes.

"There is one power… capable of annihilating them completely."

A pause.

"One name…"

Agomi.
