Chapter 10 - CHAPTER 10:

That night—

While Rudran lay awake…

Far away—

Pandu, Bermi, and Chandravathi also could not sleep.

Not a single one of them.

Their minds were filled only with memories of Rudran.

Days passed.

Rudran began to explore the kingdom.

The streets.

The armories.

The underground chambers.

He learned everything.

He listened to the people.

Their struggles.

Their pain.

Their needs.

He trained.

Learned new forms of combat.

Studied war strategies.

Mastered political rule.

Inside his father's chamber—

He read every war record written by Ratrangasan.

Every victory.

Every mistake.

Every strategy.

Slowly—

Rudran transformed.

He was no longer just a warrior.

He was becoming a ruler.

Then—

The day arrived.

The coronation.

War drums thundered.

Thousands gathered.

The army stood in formation.

Rudran was seated upon the throne.

And crowned.

From that moment—

He became Rudra Senan, King of Gandharva.

After receiving blessings from the sages—

He began his rule.

His first command—

He summoned the spies.

"I want everything about Ranadev Billa."

"His strength. His army. His strategies."

"Even his current location."

"Leave nothing unknown."

They bowed and left.

Next—

He gathered his army.

"Listen carefully," Rudran's voice echoed.

"What I am about to say… is important."

"You are the ones who protect this land."

"So hear me well."

"Ranadev Billa… is coming."

Murmurs spread.

Fear rose.

Rudran's voice grew stronger.

"Will you stand here… trembling in fear?"

"Or will you fight?"

"If death comes—"

"At least take one enemy down before you fall!"

The soldiers' eyes ignited.

"Remember this!"

"This land is built with our blood!"

"We will not allow anyone to claim it!"

His words planted courage.

His presence built fire.

From that moment—

The army changed.

He then went to the armory.

Introduced new weapons.

New strategies.

New war machines.

But that was not enough.

Rudran made a bold decision.

"We go to the Preta Kingdom."

"In disguise."

The minister was stunned.

"To investigate?"

"Yes."

"Ranadev has already warned them."

"We need to know what is happening there."

And so—

They left.

The Preta Kingdom

Disguised—

They entered.

The land felt different.

Dark.

Heavy.

They reached the royal court.

And revealed themselves.

Chaos erupted.

"Who are you?!"

"How dare you enter here?!"

Rudran stepped forward.

"My name is Rudra Senan."

"Son of Ratrangasan."

"King of Gandharva."

Silence.

Shock.

"We are not here to create conflict."

"But if anyone raises a weapon…"

"Their head will fall."

His voice was calm.

But deadly.

"We came for one reason."

"Ranadev Billa."

"He is preparing to attack."

"If we stand alone—we fall."

"But together…"

"We can defeat him."

Kaladhiran thought deeply.

Then—

He agreed.

"For the first time…"

"Gandharva and Preta kingdoms… will unite."

A historic alliance was formed.

They stayed.

Discussed war strategies.

Prepared for battle.

Rudran's intelligence…

His leadership…

His presence—

Impressed everyone.

Some even felt—

They were seeing Ariyan again.

Then—

Someone came running toward him.

A woman.

As she came closer—

Rudran froze.

"Alli…"

She broke down in tears.

He told her everything.

About Ratrangasan.

About Mithradevi.

About his death.

Alli's heart shattered.

"My father… suffered till the end…"

Rudran gently said,

"He found peace… only in his final breath."

She nodded.

Tears falling endlessly.

"I have no anger toward you," he said softly.

"I understand your pain."

Alli smiled faintly.

"You are just like him…"

She placed her hand on his head.

Then—

She introduced her daughter.

"Ponni."

A young girl.

Bright.

Innocent.

Days passed.

One day—

In the armory—

A man insulted Rudran.

Mauryan.

Son of Keechakan.

He crossed the line.

Even attacked the minister.

That was enough.

For the first time—

Rudran drew his sword.

In a single strike—

He severed Mauryan's leg.

Silence.

Fear.

"I tolerated his insult toward me," Rudran said coldly.

"But he raised his hand on my minister."

"That… I will never allow."

Even Kaladhiran agreed.

Respect for Rudran grew.

And then—

Love returned.

Ponni.

She approached Rudran.

Her voice soft—

But fearless.

"I like you."

"I feel safe with you."

"I will wait… no matter how long."

Rudran was silent.

But something in her words—

Touched him.

He turned.

And said,

"I like you too."

"This is not forced."

"This is my decision."

"If you can wait…"

"Then wait."

"I will return after the war."

"And I will take you with me."

Ponni smiled.

Tears in her eyes.

"I don't care about the throne…"

"If you live—I will be your queen."

"If you die—I will live as your wife."

Her words shook him.

Before he could respond—

A voice came.

Alli.

"I will not let my daughter make the same mistake I did."

Silence fell.

The next day—

A decision was made.

Their marriage.

Even Kaladhiran agreed.

Then he spoke—

"I am not a cruel man."

"I only loved my family too much…"

"I thought my sons would rule together…"

"But fate had other plans…"

He paused.

"When I saw your love… your sacrifice…"

"I realized my mistake."

"This…"

He looked at them.

"Is my chance to make it right."
