Several days had passed, and still under the same tree, Diablo sat cross-legged with his eyes closed. The mana around him seemed to ripple and flow around him. When he opened his eyes, the mana had stopped hovering around him and began flowing freely through the air.
'Hmm... This is a pleasant sensation. Feeling the feeling of power flowing through your body is something I've experienced for the first time today. I hope I don't get too caught up in this sensation, after all, circulating mana within my body feels very addictive. Especially with my senses as a Spirit, which are highly sensitive to mana.'
'But, this is truly quite surprising. Although I know that Spirits are born from mana, and absorbing mana is something natural for them, as a former human, suddenly gaining a new natural instinct that can be used as easily as breathing gives me some strange feelings. A feeling of realizing that I'm no longer human.'
"Well, it's not like I should really care about something as trivial as that, right? No matter what my race or appearance, I'm the only one who will determine my life, and my life will always be mine."
After digesting the information about himself a few days ago, Diablo stopped digesting anything else and began to focus on exploring his powers instead. Of all the powers he possessed, the only one he was immediately capable of was absorbing mana and circulating it throughout his body, which he did as easily as breathing.
As for his other powers, Diablo decided to preserve them for now. Although he himself was eager to begin training with his three extraordinary Attributes, he knew that, without familiarizing himself with absorbing and circulating mana, he wouldn't make any progress in training them. There were also other powers he wanted to try besides his Attributes, but they still couldn't be used until he formed a contract with someone. Therefore, Diablo had spent days familiarizing himself with absorbing and circulating mana within his body. In fact, this training had improved his control over the mana within his body. While a Spirit's natural instincts should have allowed him to absorb and circulate mana expertly, that was indeed the case. However, as a former human, it felt like a mixture of natural instincts and a foreign sensation invading his body. So he had to get used to this feeling first before learning the Attributes.
Now, after days of getting used to the sensation, the moment had arrived, the one Diablo had been waiting for ever since he discovered the power hidden within him. The day he would begin to explore and learn what his Attributes were like.
"Finally!!! Today, after getting used to the sensation of absorbing and circulating mana within my body, it's time to explore the power I've been waiting for! Time to explore what my Attributes are like and what they can do!"
Diablo began to close his eyes once more to try to reach the power hidden deep within his body. Within his field of consciousness, Diablo found three objects floating gently. The first object was a black door that opened and revealed a view of a sea of stars in space, the second object was a golden carpet with many red threads sticking out from all sides of the carpet, and the last object was a giant clock tower whose hands were spinning randomly and distorting the air around it. Each object represented its Attribute in the order of Space, Destiny, and Time.
Diablo moved toward the black door first and touched it. The basic knowledge of what "Space" truly was began to enter his mind. He stood still while still touching the door, focused on absorbing the basic information being given to him. After a moment, Diablo opened his eyes again, and they shone brightly!
'So that's how it is! This is amazing! Space is an Attribute that contains powers related to sealing, concealment, transportation, separation, gravity, and distortion of the fabric of space!'
"Just one Attribute already holds so much power! But what about the other two?! If the others are like this, wouldn't there be powers that could be combined from different Attributes?!"
Wondering about his future power, Diablo began walking towards the clock tower. Repeating the same process, Diablo received basic knowledge about what "Time" truly is. After digesting this knowledge, Diablo practically started jumping up and down.
'As I knew it! The Time Attribute is also truly amazing! Time is an Attribute that contains powers related to freezing, accelerating, projecting, repeating, regressing, and distorting the structure of time!'
"Ahhh... I'm dying! I'm going to die of excitement if this keeps up! Though I probably won't be able to, considering my race and power! HAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Not wanting to waste any more time while he was so excited, Diablo practically ran towards the carpet floating in the air. Repeating the same process, Diablo closed his eyes once more to process the knowledge regarding Destiny. After a moment, Diablo opened his eyes again. But unlike the state of the previous two Attributes, Diablo was practically frozen now due to the power brought by the Destiny Attribute. Although this state only lasted for a moment before a wide smile that reached his ears appeared on his face.
'H*ly sh*t!!! What the heck is this power I just acquired?! This is too amazing! Destiny is an Attribute that carries powers related to prophecy, vision, change, judgment, luck, and distortion of the structure of fate!'
"Wow... As I thought, each of my Attributes has powers related to distortion! I wonder if they can be combined together? Well, I'll just have to find out from now on. I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to explore my powers. And I'm sure there are other powers that can be combined to create new types of powers. Or I could even develop existing powers to have new branches of power on the same basis! Besides, it was never stipulated on paper that I could only use the powers I just acquired. That's why they fall under the basic knowledge category. I can't wait to start training and getting stronger with all these powers. I'm going to be very busy from now on!"
Having achieved his goal of exploring his three Attributes, Diablo exited his field of consciousness and returned to reality. Opening his eyes, Diablo grinned widely, and with a determined look in his eyes, he decided to begin his training right away to master his Attributes faster.
