Caelums raft did not reach the ship.
The ship found him.
A rough net smelled of fish. It ripped him away from his logs. He was getting up. He was regaining consciousness. They pulled him up. They did not care. He was like goods.
He hit the metal deck. It was hard. It shook him awake.
Someone laughed.
- Look what the net caught. They said.
- A castaway. He looks like he fought with the jungle.
Caelum opened his eyes.
The sun hurt his eyes.
He did not need to see.
He felt things.
There was metal.
There were weapons.
They were too close.
There was much noise.
There was much danger.
His body moved on its own.
Vapor came out of his skin.
Two people watched from above.
- He looks weak. Said the girl with hair.
-. That is not normal.
- No. Said the redhead.
- The air feels strange. It feels charged.
Caelum stood up.
His legs shook.
He breathed unevenly.
His eyes were alert.
A big pirate took the spice box from his neck.
- Lets see what we have. They said.
The smell spread.
Caelum clenched his jaw.
- Give it back.
He did not shout.
He spoke in a voice.
The pirate laughed.
The pirate pushed him.
The pirate made a mistake.
Caelums body reacted.
The pirate went back.
The deck was chaotic.
Caelums body changed.
It turned into mist.
It turned into vapor.
The deck had a cloud.
- Now!. Shouted the redhead.
The two girls moved.
They cut the lifeboat ropes.
They ran.
Then they saw Caelum.
He was on his knees.
He breathed like he was dying.
The mist went away.
- He will not go far. Said the haired girl.
- He is useful.
She grabbed his arm.
- Help me!
The redhead waited.
Then they helped.
They pulled him into the boat.
The boat fell.
The sea was brutal.
- Shoot them!. People shouted.
Bullets fell.
Water splashed.
Caelum opened his eyes.
Everything moved.
It was too fast.
It was too loud.
He looked.
Two strangers rowed.
There were bullets.
They were too close.
He thought.
He did not say.
He knew.
They would not make it.
He crawled back.
- Stay still. Said the redhead.
- You will tip us over.
He did not answer.
He put his hands on the boat.
He focused.
He used what he had.
The air burst.
The boat moved fast.
The bullets fell behind.
The ship was behind.
Minutes later it was quiet.
The sea sounded.
Caelum fell.
The redhead stopped rowing.
The other girl watched.
She measured.
- Interesting. She said.
Caelum looked.
- My name is Caelum.
He breathed.
- The box is mine.
The haired girl smiled.
She took the box.
- Now it is negotiable.
The redhead sighed.
- I am Nami. She is Carina.
They looked.
- If you want to survive you must do that again.
Caelum closed his eyes.
He was tired.
He was twenty-seven.
He was, in the middle of the sea.
He had two strangers.
He did not know the world.
One thing was sure.
This was not his life.
