The air felt heavy after Andrew's words.
Stefan looked at him.
Stefan: "Explain everything clearly."
Andrew nodded slowly.
Andrew: "The researcher didn't understand the item fully."
Nami frowned.
Nami: "Then why use it?"
Andrew gave a cold smile.
Andrew: "Because he was obsessed."
He continued.
Andrew: "He found an ancient book… around 9400 years old."
Andrew: "It talked about a king who used the item to destroy a kingdom."
Stefan stayed silent.
Nami: "So he wanted that power?"
Andrew shook his head.
Andrew: "No… he wanted the world to end."
Silence.
Stefan: "Including himself?"
Andrew: "Yes."
He nodded.
Andrew: "He was a psychopath."
A short pause.
Then Andrew continued.
Andrew: "The item requires a life sacrifice."
Nami: "So he used himself?"
Andrew: "Yes."
He paused.
Andrew: "But he didn't know the full truth."
Stefan narrowed his eyes.
Stefan: "What truth?"
Andrew looked directly at them.
Andrew: "The item has a hidden rule."
Silence.
Andrew: "It does NOT affect the bloodline of the one who originally created it."
Nami blinked.
Nami: "…The ancient king?"
Andrew: "Yes."
He nodded.
Andrew: "Not the researcher."
Andrew: "The original creator."
Stefan's expression changed.
Stefan: "Then what happens to that bloodline?"
Andrew answered slowly.
Andrew: "Everyone else mutates."
Andrew: "Animals become beasts."
Andrew: "Humans become monsters."
Then—
Andrew: "But that bloodline…"
A pause.
Andrew: "…gains ability instead."
Silence.
Stefan: "so do it mean we all come from that blood line"
Andrew: "Yes."
He nodded.
Stefan looked ahead.
Thinking.
Stefan: "And he didn't know this?"
Andrew: "No."
A pause.
Andrew: "If he knew… things might be different."
Then he added—
Andrew: "Or maybe not."
Because—
Andrew: "He wanted the world to end anyway."
Silence followed.
Then Nami asked—
Nami: "How do you know all this?"
Andrew answered calmly.
Andrew: "The system."
Stefan frowned.
Stefan: "It tells you everything?"
Andrew: "Not everything… but enough."
He pointed to the ground.
Andrew: "It works better on land."
A pause.
Andrew: "Weaker on water."
Nami looked confused.
Nami: "So if we stay in this island, we don't get info?"
Andrew shook his head.
Andrew: "No."
Andrew: "This island is close to the mainland."
Andrew: "So the system still works fine here."
Stefan asked—
Stefan: "If it's weak on water… can ocean fix mutations?"
Andrew immediately shook his head.
Andrew: "No."
Andrew: "Mutation is permanent."
Andrew: "The system is inside the body."
Andrew: "It cannot be removed."
Nami nodded slowly.
Then asked—
Nami: "Then why is the ocean empty?"
Andrew went silent for a moment.
Then—
Andrew: "I'm not completely sure."
He looked toward the water.
Andrew: "But I have a theory."
Stefan listened carefully.
Andrew: "The item doesn't just change the body."
Andrew: "It affects the soul and make then aggressive."
Nami looked at Rex.
Nami: "Then why is Rex not completely agrassive?"
Andrew replied calmly.
Andrew: "Because of your bond."
Andrew: "He was connected to you before."
Andrew: "So his nature didn't break."
Silence.
Then Andrew continued.
Andrew: "The item releases energy in waves."
Andrew: "These waves travel through the ground."
Stefan understood.
Stefan: "So water interrupts it?"
Andrew: "Yes."
He nodded.
Andrew: "In water, the energy becomes unstable."
Andrew: "Instead of mutating properly…"
A pause.
Andrew: "…it collapses."
Nami whispered—
Nami: "…so sea creatures died."
Andrew nodded.
Stefan asked again—
Stefan: "Then how was our island affected?"
Andrew answered immediately.
Andrew: "The first wave."
Silence.
Andrew: "The first wave was extremely powerful."
Andrew: "Nothing could stop it."
Andrew: "Not even the ocean."
Nami listened carefully.
Andrew: "That wave spread everywhere."
Andrew: "Land… islands… even parts of the ocean."
Stefan nodded slowly.
Then Andrew added—
Andrew: "After that… the waves became weaker."
Nami: "Weaker?"
Andrew: "More controlled."
Andrew: "Now they mostly travel through land."
Andrew: "They can't cross deep water properly."
Stefan looked at the ocean again.
Now it made sense.
Then Andrew said one final thing—
Andrew: "And it didn't stop."
Silence.
Nami: "What do you mean?"
Andrew's voice lowered.
Andrew: "The mutation is still happening."
A pause.
Then—
Andrew: "…those waves are still coming."
Silence filled the air.
Heavy.
Because now they knew—
This world wasn't broken once.
It was still breaking.
