Chapter 26 - Level 3

They stood near the pond, catching their breath.

The fight was over, but the tension hadn't left.

Then suddenly—

A sharp pulse ran through Stefan's body.

He froze.

His vision blurred for a second.

Then—

The system appeared.

System: "Level Up."

Stefan's eyes narrowed.

System: "Human Taming System → Level 3"

A new notification appeared.

System: "New Ability Unlocked: Sovereign Command"

Information flooded into his mind.

Clear.

Precise.

Dangerous.

Nami noticed immediately.

Nami: "Stefan… what happened?"

Stefan exhaled slowly.

Stefan: "I leveled up."

Andrew looked at him carefully.

Andrew: "What did you get?"

Stefan stayed silent for a moment.

Then spoke—

Stefan: "A control skill."

Nami frowned slightly.

Nami: "Explain."

Stefan looked ahead.

Thinking.

Then—

Stefan: "For eight minutes… I can control mutant humans."

Silence.

Heavy.

Andrew's expression changed instantly.

Andrew: "…All of them?"

Stefan shook his head slightly.

Stefan: "Only the ones in range."

A pause.

Stefan: "But yes… they become my tames."

Nami's grip tightened.

Nami: "Even without permission?"

Stefan nodded.

Stefan: "Yes."

That made it different.

Very different.

Andrew let out a slow breath.

Andrew: "…That's broken."

Stefan didn't deny it.

Because it was.

Nami looked at him seriously.

Nami: "There must be a limit."

Stefan nodded.

Stefan: "Time limit. Eight minutes."

He paused.

Stefan: "And it consumes energy."

Andrew crossed his arms.

Thinking.

Andrew: "Still… in a fight…"

A pause.

Then—

Andrew: "…that can change everything."

Stefan looked toward the distance.

Calm.

Focused.

Stefan: "It will."

Silence followed.

Because all of them understood—

This ability wasn't normal.

It wasn't just strong.

It was dangerous.

Not only for enemies—

But for everything around him.

Nami spoke softly.

Nami: "Then use it carefully."

Stefan nodded.

Stefan: "I will."

Andrew looked at him again.

This time differently.

Not just cautious.

But aware.

Andrew: "…You're becoming something else."

Stefan didn't reply.

Because deep down—

He already knew.

The wind passed through the trees.

The world stayed quiet.

But something had changed.

Stefan had become stronger.

And this time—

The world might not be ready for it.
