Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 The Importance of Self-Improvement

Chapter 7 The Importance of Self-Improvement

Having innate full soul power at level 30 means one can directly acquire three soul rings and become a Soul Master!

Currently, I don't have a single spirit ring, so I can't unleash my spirit power after reaching level ten.

Ye Yu felt that with his current strength, he could handle some ten-year or even ninety-year-old soul beasts. However, with his innate full soul power of level 30, his mutated martial soul Nine-Spirit Black Tang, and his powerful body, he would naturally not kill soul beasts under a hundred years old.

Ye Yu didn't even consider a hundred-year-old soul beast a worthy candidate.

Ye Yu began to hone his skills because his martial soul was clearly a support martial soul. As a support-type soul master, he needed to train and improve himself even more.

Support Soul Masters often believe they don't need to train or improve themselves much; they just need powerful partners to protect them, and their main responsibility is support. However, partners can't be by your side every moment of your life. Without the ability to protect yourself, even the strongest support abilities of your Martial Soul are useless if you die. Therefore, support Soul Masters must work harder to hone and improve themselves than other types of Soul Masters.

Ye Yu walked to the giant rock, which was a meter tall, and channeled his soul power into his arms. He then grabbed the rock and lifted it up without much effort.

Before awakening my soul power this morning, it was very difficult; even taking a single step was challenging. Now, I can lift myself up effortlessly and walk briskly.

Ye Yu felt that carrying this boulder wouldn't provide much of a training effect anymore, but it was still something he could do.

Ye Yu tossed the boulder into the air, then lay down on the ground to do push-ups. With a thud, the boulder landed on Ye Yu's back, causing his body to sink slightly.

A giant boulder, a meter high, completely covered Ye Yu. Without looking down carefully, one couldn't see that there was a person under the boulder.

"The gravity is just right, not too light but not too unbearable either."

Ye Yu's eyes were firm: "Then, do one thousand push-ups with both hands!"

Ye Yu started doing push-ups. From a distance, all you could see was the boulder bobbing up and down.

After a thousand repetitions, Ye Yu used one hand, then two fingers. His face was covered in sweat, which dripped onto the ground, wetting it.

After finishing, he didn't stop, but instead found a rope, tied the boulder to his back, and came to the foot of a cliff to prepare to climb!

Ye Yu began searching for protrusions on the cliff face to start climbing. It was quite difficult; he couldn't look for loose protrusions, otherwise they would break under his weight, causing him to lose his balance and fall.

With his physical strength, if he were completely naked, he could fall from a height of 100 meters without injury. But now, carrying a three-ton boulder, if he fell backward, the boulder would hit the ground first. However, if he fell vertically or head-on, his feet and front of his body would make contact with the ground.

My body is incredibly resilient; I've never felt pain, fatigue, or body aches. But if I were to fall from a height of 100 meters or even higher, I'd probably get injured.

Therefore, Ye Yu climbed up very carefully.

It was noon, and the sun was blazing.

Ye Yu had already climbed to a height of 100 meters, and was still 50 meters away from the top of the cliff.

However, the surrounding area and above were smooth, and no protrusions could be found. Ye Yu then shaped his right hand into a claw and plunged his five fingers deep into the rock wall with a cracking sound, sending fragments of rock flying.

If any other Soul Warrior, or even Soul Master, were to do this using only their own strength and Soul Power, they would not shatter the rock, but rather their own finger bones.

Even beast-type martial spirit warriors wouldn't dare to do this without summoning their martial spirit to possess them.

This is the terrifying power of Ye Yu himself, which also confirms that his martial soul is more than just the Nine Spirits Black Tang.

Nine Spirits Black Tang is a support-type martial soul, which has nothing to do with his powerful body, so it must be because of something else.

Fifteen minutes later, Ye Yu reached the top, took a breath, wiped the sweat from his face, and looked down.

"Go downstairs, then go home for dinner."

Going down was more difficult than climbing up. Ye Yu began carrying the boulder downhill and realized that it was much more difficult, but it suited his wishes.

Only when it is challenging can it serve to hone one's skills.

An hour later, Ye Yu landed successfully, unloaded the boulder, and quickly left.

Ye Yu moved with incredible agility, covering five meters in a single step.

When they got home, Old Jack had already prepared lunch. Seeing that Ye Yu's clothes were all wet, he said helplessly, "You went to the waterfall again?"

Ye Yu grinned, said nothing, and began to wolf down his food.

While eating, Ye Yu said, "Grandpa, my appetite is getting bigger and bigger. Are you sure you still want me to stay at home? Aren't you worried about eating you out of house and home?"

Old Jack did indeed notice that Ye Yu's appetite was increasing, his body was abnormal, and his appetite was astonishing.

Old Jack sighed, "Even if I wanted to stop you, I wouldn't have the ability."

"Grandpa, aren't you going to tell me about my identity? Even if you don't know anything, you should know a little bit, right?" Ye Yu asked expectantly, hoping that old Jack would finally give in this time.

Old Jack hesitated, wondering whether he should speak frankly and tell Ye Yu what he knew.

After hesitating for a moment, old Jack said nothing and turned to go back to his room to rest.

Ye Yu shrugged helplessly, not urging him, and letting things take their course.

Old Jack lay down, feeling conflicted. The village had one spot each year for a fellow student who could enter the Notting Soul Master Junior Academy. He had originally intended to give the spot to Tang San, but he knew he couldn't stop Ye Yu.

He didn't feel comfortable letting Ye Yu go out alone, regardless of his own feelings.

"Sigh, I'll go to Nottingham tomorrow and apply for another spot."

Early the next morning, Ye Yu got up and walked quickly towards the edge of the village. Once there, he picked up the boulder and continued his training.

At this moment, the sun gradually rose. Tang San finished cultivating the Purple Demon Eye and returned home. Suddenly, he stopped.

Five hundred meters away, a huge rock was seen moving up and down. An ordinary person would find this scene eerie and frightening, but Tang San's Purple Demon Eyes had been honed to an extremely keen level.

Upon closer inspection, Tang San discovered a person under the boulder. Due to their small size, the person was almost completely obscured by the boulder and difficult to see.

"He is..."

Tang San's eyes widened instantly, his gaze filled with intense shock!

"It's Brother Yu!"

Tang San was extremely shocked. The boulder was estimated to weigh three tons, and six-year-old Ye Yu could actually do push-ups while carrying it on his back! And he was doing it with one hand!

If it were me, I would have a hard time doing it even with both hands, since my skills are still very limited and I'm only six years old.

Tang San was shocked. He knew Ye Yu was a monster with a strong physical body, but he didn't expect him to be this powerful.

"Is it because they have soul power that they are even more terrifying?" Tang San wondered to himself.

In his previous life, he was also very hardworking at this age, but compared to Ye Yu, there was a significant gap; Ye Yu was even more hardworking than him.

Soon, Ye Yu switched from using one hand to support himself with the index and middle fingers of his right hand, which surprised Tang San even more.

After his initial surprise, Tang San felt genuine admiration for Ye Yu, believing that Ye Yu would surely become famous throughout the Douluo Continent in the future.
