Chapter 26 - Yes, You May

As the knowledge was imprinted in Satya's mind.

The pain started to gradually recede.

The pain had pulled Satya out of his daze and pushed him to the dreadful reality.

Only now did he realize how the world had changed after his transformation.

Satya felt a sense of wrongness with the world.

Everything was more than before, like he could hear the wind flowing through the fog, He could feel the Shadow of the wall dancing in the dimly lit fog.

The world had become really odd to Satya, as he had awakened something no human could feel.

He could feel and see what even his eyes couldn't see.

The sense of shadows.

He could perceive all around him, the vivid moving shadows.

He felt like he could feel the Shadows of a vast distance, yet it was only restricted to a mere ten feet diameter.

The thing about shadows was that they are always made with the presence of light,

So Satya could theoretical feel the presence of light as well.

But it was still out of his capabilities, who is now even struggling to stand up.

Satya collapsed, his sense of balance and directions had been utterly altered.

As Satya was trying to regain his balance, he looked at his shadow.

[The Shadow] had combined with his shadow to make it infinitely more darker, Darkness that was absorbing light itself.

Satya tried standing up again and again, yet he fell back down each time.

His senses were going haywire,

All of his natural five senses had been enhanced to the extreme, his mind was overwhelmed by the sudden changes, making him unable to even stand up.

[Limit your perspective, lessen your senses, only then may you even prevail to even stand up.]

Satya guided by the Shadow, tried to limit his senses.

Satya used the most basic approach to limit his perspective, one that had almost got him killed.

He focused, he focused on only one of his senses, focused so intensely that he could feel everything about it.

He focused on his sight.

His sight had also been altered by his transformation, now he could see the world in a stark contrast of shadows and color.

He focused only on the white fog before him, which proved to work.

From there he slowly lifted all of his other senses.

Then he reached a threshold, it was the limit he could actually withstand, while feeling the world around him.

He finally sat down in a proper position to organize his thoughts.

His body had also undergone a slight evolution.

His body which was built of burns and scars, was cleared of those,

His body was covered by a thin layer of darkness, although the veil covering him was transparent, he could tell by his senses that it was darkness.

He pushed his fingers into the ground to test his strength and was amazed to see his fingers pushing through the hard ground just like they would through clay.

He started to stand up and immediately staggered straight into the wall.

The thing was he didn't feel any pain, but the wall had deformed from merely tackling him.

He looked at the deformation in the wall to see it covered by a thin layer of darkness, invisible to the naked eyes, but visible to the sense of a shadow.

"Wow.... I feel stronger... By a lot"

Satya still staggering started to walk towards the inner town away from [The Last Boundary].

Satya was soon in a world of endless white with only the ground visible below him.

He walked forward for a bit of time, till he reached a point of convergence.

It was where the original path ended to a new stone brick path where every inch of the ground was covered by stone.

Upon entering the new path Satya felt as if he had crossed a threshold.

After a few minutes, a house came into sight.

It was a completely intact house and a sense rose from it that suggested that people live in it.

After walking towards the house, Satya was infront of the door when suddenly he entered a dazed state and was about to open the house, just as the Shadow screamed in his head.

[REMEMBER THE GUIDELINES]

"Argh... "

Satya was startled by the Shadow pulling him out of his daze.

He recited the guidelines and by the instructions of them, he knocked on the door three times and said loudly.

"May I stay in your house for the night."

No response came...

But perhaps guided by his intuition Satya waited.

And perhaps proving it right a voice came from inside.

"Yes, You may"

{Evolution into a new being,

Hypnotized by the new senses,

A sense of strength fills me,

But will it prove futile,

Only time will tell}
