Chapter 17 - Authority of the Acting Guild Master

Ryujin paid no attention to the chaotic chatter echoing within the guild. He didn't even notice that Eriri had already completely transformed into what could only be described as a "professional thigh-hugger."

At that moment, his focus was elsewhere.

On one thing alone—

His new title.

Trainee Guild Master.

"…Why me?"

The question lingered quietly in his mind.

And more importantly—

Why did it come with such exaggerated effects?

The golden name.

The dramatic entrance.

It felt unnecessarily extravagant, almost theatrical.

But as Ryujin continued exploring the interface, his expression shifted slightly.

It wasn't just decoration.

There were privileges.

New functions.

Authority that hadn't existed before.

He opened the panel, his gaze sweeping across the newly unlocked abilities.

The first privilege allowed him to share memory-based "instances." If the content held value to other guild members, it would generate Reputation Points. The second granted him the ability to initiate votes to remove members entirely—erasing both their presence and their memories of the guild. The third gave him veto authority over guild decisions, though limited in use for now. The fourth allowed access to interdimensional portals, enabling travel between the worlds of guild members. And the fifth—

Absolute immunity.

No guild member could harm him in any way, whether physically or spiritually.

At a glance, most of these abilities seemed… unnecessary.

Especially the last one.

Immunity?

He was already the strongest in the guild. Even without such protection, none of the current members posed any threat to him.

Still—

There was no harm in having it.

After all, no one disliked having an advantage.

But then his thoughts shifted.

Reputation.

That was the true core of everything.

The reason he had become the Trainee Guild Master was simple. He had uploaded the Chakra Extraction Method, and the guild had judged it as valuable.

Recognized it.

Accepted it.

And that recognition—

Had elevated his status.

Which meant…

If he wanted to become a full Guild Master, he needed more.

More reputation.

More value.

More influence.

His gaze returned to the first privilege.

Memory Instance Sharing.

At first, the concept had been vague.

Now—

It was crystal clear.

Those "instances" were his memories.

The anime, the novels, the countless stories from his previous life.

For him, they were nothing more than entertainment.

But for the guild members—

They were something entirely different.

They were the future.

If he shared them…

Everything could change.

Take the newly joined member, Inori.

If she saw her own future, she could avoid death.

Alter her fate.

Rewrite her ending.

And that—

Would generate an enormous amount of reputation.

A faint shift appeared in Ryujin's expression.

"…So that's how it works."

This wasn't useless at all.

It was incredibly valuable.

At that exact moment, the guild chat exploded.

Eriri began tagging him repeatedly, calling out to him with increasing desperation, asking why he wasn't responding and openly declaring her intention to "hug his thigh." Her messages came in rapid succession, completely ignoring any sense of restraint.

Utaha responded almost immediately, her tone sharp and merciless as she questioned whether the "blonde dog" could stop spamming.

Eriri snapped back without hesitation, insisting she would spam as much as she wanted.

Linglong watched the exchange unfold, sending a helpless laugh sticker as if she had already given up trying to intervene.

Then—

A system notification appeared.

Ryujin had muted Eriri for one minute.

Just like that.

Simple.

Clean.

Efficient.

The chat fell silent for a brief moment.

Even the newly joined member, "IAmNotAPsychopath," reacted with confusion, questioning what had just happened.

Utaha, however, seized the opportunity instantly, mocking Eriri with clear amusement.

Somewhere in another world, Eriri froze.

Her twin tails practically stood on end as her face flushed with anger.

But one minute wasn't long.

Just as she was preparing her retaliation—

Ryujin finally spoke.

He explained calmly that he had been reviewing the privileges of the Trainee Guild Master.

The conversation shifted immediately.

Utaha leaned in with curiosity, asking about these so-called privileges, while Asuna responded thoughtfully, pointing out that it made sense for a guild structure to grant special authority to its leader.

Utaha agreed, comparing it to the control held by group chat owners.

At that moment, Eriri returned.

She immediately began complaining dramatically about being muted, declaring herself heartbroken while sending exaggerated crying stickers. Yet even in her complaints, she couldn't help but ask about Ryujin's privileges.

Her shamelessness had reached a new level.

Utaha responded instantly, threatening to mute her again if she continued flooding the chat.

Eriri, however, showed no signs of backing down. Instead, she doubled down, confidently declaring that Ryujin wouldn't do such a thing again before tagging him once more and asking about his abilities.

Ryujin replied calmly.

"When did I become your boss?"

Eriri answered without the slightest hesitation.

"The moment you ignored me earlier, I took it as consent. So I agreed on your behalf."

Utaha paused before responding with a dry remark, calling her impressively shameless.

Even Asuna hesitated briefly before admitting she found herself agreeing.

The new member followed suit.

Eriri puffed up with pride, insisting they were all just jealous.

Then she launched into exaggerated praise, describing Ryujin as an elite ninja mentor capable of casually using powerful techniques, now elevated to Guild Master status. Her words became so enthusiastic that part of her message was automatically censored by the system.

Utaha immediately questioned what she had tried to say.

Eriri froze.

Then, without hesitation, she changed the topic.

"Boss, can you tell us your privileges?"

This time—

Ryujin didn't hesitate.

"Alright."

He shared everything.

No concealment.

No hesitation.

Because to him—

Power was not something to hide.

It was something to use.
