"You've got to be kidding me!"
Abomination's bloody, mangled face suddenly twisted in fury.
His chest heaved as he forced his pinned arms upward. His muscles swelled visibly, becoming even thicker and more powerful.
With a powerful kick of both legs, he sent Ronin and Hulk flying backward.
General Ross saw the situation turning bad and immediately ordered the machine gunners to open fire.
"Which side are we helping?" a young soldier asked.
"Help the green one and the big gorilla. Kill the ugly bastard."
The young soldier nodded and aimed the heavy machine gun at Abomination. A dense hail of bullets poured out like a string of pearls.
Feeling the stinging pain, Abomination raised an arm to block the barrage, then looked up at the helicopter with rage-filled eyes and roared, "General!"
Hearing that voice, General Ross froze for a second. That monster is Blonsky?
Fury instantly boiled over. He slammed his fist on the armrest. "You idiot! You've ruined everything!"
Abomination leaped high, grabbing the landing skids of the helicopter. The aircraft immediately lost balance and began shaking violently, on the verge of crashing.
Hulk climbed up a tall building while Ronin used his jetpack to fly up from the ground. He wrapped one thick arm around Abomination's neck and hammered the monster's face repeatedly with vicious elbow strikes.
"You damn monkey, you deserve to die!"
With Winston added to the weight, the helicopter struggled even more to stay airborne, swaying dangerously as if it could plummet at any moment.
"You're the damn monkey! I'm your daddy!" Ronin shot back.
"Stabilize it!" General Ross shouted.
The pilot wanted to cry. He was trying, but even a top ace pilot couldn't fix this. The power was simply insufficient.
Ronin stared at the massive hand gripping the helicopter. After a brief hesitation, he opened his ape mouth, revealing a row of sharp teeth, and bit down hard.
"Ahhh!"
Abomination let out a miserable scream. Thick green blood flowed from his palm, dripping onto his face. At the same time, the chokehold made it hard to breathe, so he finally let go and fell together with Winston.
Mid-air, Ronin activated his jetpack and landed smoothly on the ground. Abomination, however, crashed heavily, smashing a deep crater into the pavement.
The pilot breathed a sigh of relief, but General Ross was still on edge, fearing another attack on the helicopter. He ordered, "Land nearby!"
"Ptui!"
Ronin spat out the green blood in his mouth. It tasted horribly sour and disgusting…
His Primal Rage state ended, and his fur returned to its normal gray. The god-like strength capable of shattering mountains was gone.
Abomination crawled out of the crater. Hulk spotted him like a predator seeing prey and lunged forward without hesitation. The two giants began trading blows again.
Ronin spent a long time spitting and rinsing, but a strange taste still lingered in his mouth. He probably wouldn't be able to eat anything for the next three days.
Was this karma?
He had eaten like a bottomless pit for a whole month, and now he couldn't even stomach food?
He looked around and spotted a fountain nearby.
Without another word, he ran over, scooped up water, and rinsed his mouth more than ten times. He exhaled, sniffed, and found the smell much better— at least it no longer made him want to vomit.
Hulk and Abomination were still fighting fiercely. Abomination pinned Hulk against a wall, driving his sharp bone spikes into Hulk's body and drawing blood.
Hulk struggled to hold on, clearly at a disadvantage.
Ronin felt a headache coming on. Had Abomination gotten stronger, or was Hulk just too weak right now?
But what could he do? Zap Abomination with the Tesla Cannon? It didn't seem very effective. And in his current state, he definitely couldn't match Abomination in raw strength. So what exactly could he contribute?
"Fire support!"
General Ross directed the troops. Right now, taking down Abomination was the top priority—everything else came second.
Bullets, shells, missiles… every kind of ammunition rained down on Abomination's back.
Abomination landed a fierce straight punch that left Hulk dazed, then turned around in fury and charged. "General, I'm going to kill you!"
The soldiers retreated while firing. General Ross pulled Betty behind the protective line of troops.
"Hulk, attack!"
Seeing Abomination about to go after Betty, Hulk's rage exploded. He clenched both fists, gathered all his strength, and slammed them into the ground with earth-shaking force.
The ground cracked open instantly. The fissures raced toward Abomination, trapping his legs and immobilizing him.
Abomination looked down at the cracks, then sneered coldly. "Hulk, you think this can defeat me? Let me tell you…"
"Mountain Press!"
Abomination looked up in panic and saw a massive figure plummeting from the sky.
"No!"
Abomination let out a desperate scream. He couldn't break free in time and could only raise his arms in a futile attempt to block the giant gorilla falling from above.
Ronin sat down hard.
A bottomless crater appeared.
Abomination vanished.
The surrounding soldiers stood there dumbfounded, staring up at the sky. Did something just fall?
It had been too fast and too dark—they couldn't make out what it was. They only felt a powerful gust of wind rush past from far away.
Not just them—even Ronin himself was a little scared.
He had first used the jetpack to fly high into the sky, then aimed straight at Abomination, who was trapped by the fissures, and simply sat down on him. During the descent, his ears rang briefly and he couldn't even keep his eyes open. The gravitational potential energy from that height had reached an unimaginable level.
No matter how tough something was, it would be flattened!
Abomination was probably turned into meat paste by now…
Ugh… just thinking about it was disgusting.
Everything was pitch black in front of him. Ronin looked up and felt like he was looking at the sky from the bottom of a well—except he wasn't a frog, he was a gorilla!
Ignoring whatever had happened to Abomination, he activated the jetpack again and flew back up to the surface.
"Winston!"
The soldiers saw it was Winston and immediately smiled. But they were also very confused—how had the superheroes from Overwatch Films' movies started appearing in real life one after another?
First Soldier: 76 had shown up out of nowhere, and now Winston had turned the tide. It felt just like watching a movie.
General Ross found it even harder to understand. Why were these fictional characters from the Overwatch series repeatedly appearing in the real world? What exactly was going on here?
Ronin flashed them a toothy grin. His teeth had originally been clean and white, but now they were stained green with Abomination's blood. It looked utterly disgusting.
He was about to slip away when Hulk suddenly charged over and punched him.
Ronin looked at Hulk in complete bewilderment. "You big green idiot, can't you even tell friend from foe?"
Hulk glared at him fiercely and raised his fist with a low growl.
At that moment, Betty ran over and stood in front of Winston. "Bruce, Winston is a good guy."
A good guy?
Yeah… she wasn't wrong!
Hulk looked doubtfully at Betty, then at Winston, and finally lowered his fist.
His expression turned vicious again as he glared at General Ross and the soldiers, scaring them into retreating while instinctively raising their guns.
Hulk roared at them.
General Ross raised a hand, signaling the troops to lower their weapons. Only then did Hulk calm down. He gave Betty one last gentle look, then turned and ran off, disappearing into the night.
"Bruce!"
Betty called out, her voice full of sorrow.
This place was no longer safe!
Ronin quickly activated his jetpack and flew into the sky. Time to get out of here—fast!
