His interface updated with a bleak logistics report. Draven checked the World Tree sap distribution levels. He authorized an emergency release of the heavy golden liquid to keep Master Engineer Halvers and the tower crews upright in the freezing mud.
He checked the rationing ledgers. He cross-referenced the civilian caloric intake against the mortality rate in the lower wards. He calculated the tower schedule delays caused by the severed branch in Bastion Six.
The numbers were brutal.
