"Hey, Fred," George suddenly exclaimed, pointing to the pile of homework, "I saw your Potions homework. You got a 'D.' Do you need me to correct it for you?"

Don't do anything unnecessary or foolish.

Fred lowered his voice and said seriously, "Hurry up, I don't want to stay in this place for another second. It feels like a bat's nest."

Morris then walked toward the bookshelves and display jars.

Of course, I'm just taking a quick look.

If anything is touched, Snape might find out.

The jars were all labeled, each with a date and a number of potion ingredients.

They were probably conducting some kind of magic potion experiment.

Unfortunately, with Morris's current knowledge of potions, he was unable to understand the purpose of these experiments.

Just as Maurice was engrossed in watching...

  "We should go, Maurice."

Morris turned around and saw that Fred had already obtained the key to the potion ingredient warehouse, which was hanging on a rusty little iron ring.

The three of them left the room, and Fred handed the key to Morris.

"Remember," he instructed, "be quick. Once you have the potion ingredients, restore everything to its original state so that no one will notice. If anything unexpected happens, such as Snape suddenly returning, George and I will make a commotion outside to attract attention. You just have to act accordingly."

Morris took the keys and said earnestly, "Okay, thank you."

To be honest, the Weasley twins took a considerable risk for him this time.

  This touched him somewhat.

  What a kind person...

They knew that if they were caught, none of the three of them would escape punishment.

Of course, if it really comes to that, he will try his best to take the responsibility upon himself.

  "Click".

  The door was opened smoothly.

Morris gently pushed open the door, and a strong, complex smell rushed out, almost making him catch his breath.

However, the smell is not unpleasant; in fact, it is somewhat addictive.

  "Fluorescent flashing".

A steady white light shone at the tip of his staff.

Then the light came in, and he began to look around.

There are several rows of wooden cabinets here, each with a label that is clearly written and easy to understand.

The management is clearly taking good care of this place.

"Narcissus root powder, valerian root, sleep bean..."

Because the categories were so clearly defined, Morris quickly found what he was looking for.

The materials stored here are plentiful, but he only took two portions.

Therefore, without careful observation, it is impossible to notice any changes in the containers holding the materials.

After sorting and packing all the necessary items, Maurice left the room.

  Great, everything went smoothly.

He gently opened the door and slipped out of the potions classroom.

Fred and George were waiting at the corner of the corridor.

After returning the key to its original position, the three quickly left.

Back in the first-floor hallway, Fred leaned against a cold marble pillar and asked in a low voice, "Did you get it?"

Morris nodded, feeling the heavy weight of the two small bottles in the inner pocket of his arms.

He can't wait to try brewing the "life-and-death water".

"We've been making some noise here," George chimed in. "Shortly after you went in, there was a really loud noise coming from upstairs! Like a wall collapsed and something was yelling... I think it sounds a bit like a troll."

In fact, Morris had also overheard it.

But this should have nothing to do with them.

He waved his hand dismissively, "It's none of our business. Let's go back to the auditorium now; I need to eat something else."

"That's true." The twins nodded in unison.

Chapter 52 The Allure of Potions

The three of them headed towards the auditorium.

As he moved forward, Maurice smelled the same foul odor he had smelled earlier on the stairs.

Moreover, it's getting stronger and stronger.

The stench reached its peak just as we were about to pass the first-floor restroom.

Fred instinctively covered his nose. "Hey, what's going on with this toilet? Did it explode?"

"No," Morris shook his head, "there are people talking inside."

Fred and George immediately quieted down upon hearing this, and then moved a little closer to the bathroom.

Indeed, they could vaguely hear a conversation inside, and combined with that smell...

  Something's not right.

The twins' eyes lit up, and they immediately became interested.

However, because the toilet door was closed, they could not hear the specific content.

Even if they stick them to the wall, it won't work.

"Let me remind you," Morris said calmly, "this is the women's restroom, and what you two are doing is dangerous."

Fred and George immediately jumped back from the wall as if they had been burned, somewhat embarrassed.

Indeed, this is quite out of character for gentlemen.

  "Click!"

At that moment, the doorknob of the washroom suddenly turned.

The three of them instantly stood against the wall, holding their breath and trying their best to conceal their presence.

A girl rushed out—it was Hermione, one of Maurice's acquaintances.

She immediately left the scene in a hurry.

Immediately afterward, before Morris and his two companions could even relax, two more figures emerged from within.

This time it was Ron and Harry, who, like Hermione, quickly left the scene, forgetting to even close the door.

They didn't even glance in the direction of Maurice and his two companions.

"Something seems to be going on," Fred said, his eyes lighting up. "I'll go check it out."

  What a curious fellow!

Morris wanted to persuade him to use a Disillusionment Charm, but Fred had already put his head close to the open bathroom door and was peering inside curiously.

  Then...

"Mr. Weasley! What are you doing here!?"

A roar came from inside the washroom.

  Fred froze on the spot.

Morris knew that tone and voice all too well; it belonged to Professor McGonagall.

George reacted extremely quickly; the instant Professor McGonagall's voice rang out, he grabbed Maurice's arm and shouted, "Run!"

Fred is beyond saving, but the two of them can still be saved.

The two of them quickly left the scene.

As long as you don't get caught, you'll be fine.

When they returned to the auditorium entrance, panting, they found it empty and deserted.

"The students have all gone back to the lounge," Morris judged.

Then, he glanced at George strangely, "Are we really okay with just leaving Fred like this?"

"It's alright," George said matter-of-factly, without a trace of remorse in his tone. "It's his own fault for not being careful enough."

What a good brother, Maurice thought.

So the two of them went back to the lounge, as there was no point in wandering around outside any longer.

As for Fred—I hope he's doing well.

Back in the lounge, the prefect was counting heads.
