[Gigi's POV, Thousand Sunny before docking, 8PM the evening prior]
I never thought I'd be back here. Turns out fate is funny like that. I lived in this city for several months a few years ago. Its the intelligence capital of the world, City of Spies. This will be a challenge for my new job as a bodyguard. At least before I only had to worry about myself, now I have her too. I scan the buildings we pass, assessing the threat levels of every person we pass. I soon found a good parking spot for the Sunny and it is in an area I know so this is good. It gives me a turf advantage and defendable location. After we dock, distribute Namis carefully chosen allowances as Nami finishes getting ready and meets me on deck. The moment the gangplank goes down, Luffy is gone. Nami grabs the air where he was and sighs, and then I see something flying down towards Nami. I leap into the air and grab the projectile. Its a red paper airplane. I open it and read it,

I read it aloud and Nami squints at it, "Who is Aiko and Duke Jax" I ask, looking around for the sender but see none. "Its not code, either I cant decode it or I don't understand it." I say. Suddenly a look of shock registers on her face, recognition slowly creeping in. "You know them?" I ask, half curious, half concerned. She blushes, "Yeah... Lady Aiko is an alias." She says and then continues, "Its.. me. I used it a long time ago. It was to infiltrate some Gala, a big heist for me." She says. I nod, I know about her past as a thief, shes stolen a few things from my closet but mostly because I looked into her and Usopp told me her story. "And Duke Jax?" I ask. She blushes, "Thats the thing, I don't know anything about him, I know he's a super-spy and we went as a fake couple to the Gala." She says. I nod slowly, "Fake. Right that's why your blushing," I say and she blushes dee-er and scowls, "I'm not blushing! And it was fake! we split ways after!" She protests. Shes so cute when shes lying. "Then why are you blushing?" I ask, not really wanting the answer but out of curiosity. "It's-its.. complicated!" She says. "We both kinda liked each other but it just never could be real.. But Gigi, if he's here.." she says. I scowl, feeling my heart break slightly, "If he's here he's a security threat" I say coldly. Her scowl deepens, "No! I mean maybe.. but he's HERE Gigi!" She says, blushing and panicking slightly. I blurt it out before I can stop myself. I don't want the answer but... "You still have feelings for him?" I ask softer. I try to mask my tone as indifferent and understanding to mask the jealousy and heartbreak. She blushes deeply and confirms it. I keep my face stoic but understanding washes through me. Of course she doesn't have feelings for me like that. I knew she was straight, I'm just her bodyguard, her employee. That's all. I stiffen and shove down my heartbreak, my tone neutral and indifferent, icy almost. "Come on. Lets go shopping at least before you start obsessing over him." I say and try to sound cheerful, "I know a few places to get clothes and make you prettier for when you meet you Duke" I say supportive. Maybe if i can somehow prove I'm better than a guy she had a fake relationship with years ago, she'll forget him at least. Yeah.
As we disembark and head off to shop, I remain supportive and we go to several clothes stores, choosing outfits and jewlery as she tells me all about Duke Jax. obviously not knowing it hurts but I am gonna prove I'm better than him. I have to believe that at least.
----------[Nami's POV, the shopping trip.]----------
Gigi is my bodyguard, closest friend and now my wingwoman. She shows me to all the good stores and helps me pick out stuff. She took the explanation better than I expected and is very supportive, shes amazing! And gorgeous, I hope Duke Jax doesn't fall for her... I'd be completely supportive though!
We go about, shopping, and Gigi pays for me, explaining Lumina City doesn't haggle. "These merchants are tired after a long day and week and have zero tolerance for haggling." she says and I learn that first hand. I tried to haggle for a necklace, and they just moved on and ignored me! Of course, Gigi being an angel, paid for me and explained. What a terrible city! Paying full price should be a crime. I'm lucky to have Gigi,
We shop til dawn then head back to rest during the day as the shops close up and the lights shut off. The streets empty and we head back, Gigi carrying a ton of bags from all the stuff we got and she sets it in our room and we both crash after the long night. A great night...
