Chapter 25 - Embodiment of Love

Demon Slayers is an organization that has existed for a long time, and it has dedicated its existence to protecting humanity from demons. There are over a hundred people in this organization, and the group of elite warriors, known as the Pillars, possess superhuman abilities and strong wills. Nakae is one of the Pillars, the Insect Pillar. That demon, meanwhile, was one of Muzan's strongest, so his death was astonishing news for the slayers.

"I… how… light from the ground?" the girl tilted her head to the side, looking at the spot where the demon had just been.

"A portal," I corrected her, drawing her attention. "I opened a portal leading to the stratosphere, and the sunlight there was pretty intense. That was enough to kill him instantly… a half-baked vampire."

"He was an Upper Moon demon, and… I had already lost hope of victory. I knew I would most likely die," the slayer suddenly said. "You mentioned an offer?" she addressed me with clear respect.

"Yeah, an offer for your organization," I nodded, but—

"Sister!" another girl, similar to the first but younger, rushed in at incredible speed—too fast for an ordinary person to even see.

The newcomer immediately drew her sword and stared at me cautiously… only to get smacked on the head by her sister, after which she shot her an offended look.

"The demon is defeated, and… it was one of the Twelve Kizuki. And no, I wasn't the one who dealt with him," she immediately understood everything from her sister's expression and answered before she could speak. "So show some respect."

"I apologize, I mistook you for an enemy," the younger one said, composing herself and bowing. "Sister, I thought the worst had happened…"

"Before my sister interrupted me, you were talking about an organization…"

"Ah, right. An interdimensional organization for protecting the innocent… or something like that, I haven't really settled on a name yet," I shrugged. "And for it, I need people with a good worldview, those who genuinely want justice, who are ready to get their hands dirty with the blood of the wicked and all that."

"Umm, we're already part of such an organization. And until the main threat is dealt with, I'm afraid we can't leave," the girl shook her head apologetically.

"Sister… I think he's cra—" the younger one got hit on the head again by the older, who still wore that same gentle smile.

"Alright, then report what happened to your superiors. I'll come to you later. I think I'll be able to discuss my plans with them then," I said.

"Sir, what is your name? So we know who to speak about…"

"You can call me Victor, or just Vic. And yeah, I'll find you later," I fired the portal gun at a nearby tree and stepped through it, arriving in the Disney world.

Taking a breath in a familiar place—Arendelle—I headed toward the castle. The people who saw me smiled kindly, greeted me. Some merchants even offered me their goods for free; their faces didn't show carelessness—this was still the Middle Ages, after all, and without work you wouldn't eat—but definitely good spirits. Not far from the castle, Olaf was playing with kids, entertaining them. Passing by the houses that had been built, I felt warmth in my chest—I had helped these people get homes.

There was commotion in the castle.

"Excuse me, what happened?" I stopped a servant hurrying somewhere.

"Sir, we are expecting royal guests, so everyone is trying harder than ever," the older woman replied, waiting for more questions or for me to let her go.

"Thank you," I said. She nodded gratefully and hurried off.

I had only been gone for about a day, so no message from Corona could have arrived yet, which meant Elsa and Anna were waiting for me. On one hand, it was nice that they relied on me so much, but on the other… I wasn't sure what to think. Wasn't this that famous "wrapping someone around your finger"? I didn't have much experience with this—maybe I just didn't notice.

"Viiic!" as soon as I entered the guest hall, a red-haired bundle of energy threw herself at me, hugging me like a koala—arms and legs.

"Hey, Anna, I missed you too," I admitted, hugging the "koala" back.

"While you were gone, Elsa and I were thinking about peace between Corona and us, and all the nuances, like you call them! Also, Elsa took the draft agreement we verbally approved, and the scribes already wrote down all the main important points, so we were studying them together with Heinrich…"

"With who?" I tilted my head.

"Our ambassador," the older sister replied, approaching us and stopping a meter away, smiling as she looked at Anna and me. "We had to resolve issues of mutually beneficial cooperation, food supplies, and sugar exports from Arendelle. The latter interested the king the most, especially since we already trade through traveling merchants, but this will create a direct route," she explained, and…

"Ah…" yeah, I hugged her. Unexpectedly for her. So now we stood in the center: me hugging Elsa, while Anna hugged me.

"You deserve a hug too," I said after a moment.

"Yes! Our love will warm your heart!" Anna exclaimed happily, jumping down and hugging both of us at once. With her right arm, she hugged her sister by the neck, and with her left, me, pulling us together. Our heads ended up very close.

"Your love could warm anything," I couldn't help smiling.

"She truly excels at that," Elsa didn't stay aside.

"Ooo, we're like one big happy family," Anna pressed us closer, and Elsa and I found our faces right in front of each other, practically breathing onto each other's lips.

"I…" Elsa noticed it too and grew nervous. "Anna, stop, what if someone sees us?"

"They'll think we're a family!" the younger sister insisted.

"You've heard the rumors going around? That two royal ladies have wrapped some poor— mmh." Elsa quickly covered my mouth.

"Shh, don't say things like that in front of Anna!" exclaimed the "queen with a frozen heart."

"I'm not a child!" Anna stomped her foot, finally letting us go. "Oh, Vic, can you open that portal to Corona again?! We want to invite them here and throw a grand celebration!"

"Ahem, despite her enthusiasm, Anna is right. I would like to ask you as well, if it's not too difficult, and I can… repay you…" Elsa froze mid-sentence as I took her hand—without gloves.

"Elsa," I said seriously, looking into her eyes. Emotions surged inside me from her words. Who did she think I was? "You and Anna don't even realize it, but you truly helped me get out of a deep depression. Anna's cheerfulness, your care hidden behind that small shell of gentle coldness… I wasn't lying when I said my world was gone. I was left alone," I said, and emotions suddenly flooded me. "You both became an anchor that kept me from sinking deeper. That's why I keep coming back to this world again and again."

Taking a deep breath, I thought about it—and it was true. Anna's "love," Elsa's care, their attitude toward me, their sincerity… had I even seen something like that in my destroyed world? No. Society there was too different, especially women. Different concerns, problems, and sincerity was mostly gone. Secrets, intrigue, fading feelings… there was plenty of that. Though, I couldn't deny there must have been sincere love too—like between a son and his mother…

"Son… open your heart…" I heard my mother's whisper again.

Here, everything was so bright, so… real.

"You've both become dear to me," I admitted. "And it hurts that you think I wouldn't help without expecting something in return. I already did, from the very beginning. Your story, both of you… you're not indifferent to me," I finished, and—

"Looove!" Anna jumped on me, literally knocking me down. Well, she couldn't have done it physically, but I wasn't reinforcing myself with magic or anything, and I weighed like a normal person. And… I let it happen.

So we fell into a rather compromising position, and then Anna did something unexpected—she leaned down and kissed me! And I couldn't help but respond, like instinct took over. The warmth of her lips, her soft body pressed against mine sent heat rushing through me.

"Oh, I…" Anna pulled back for a moment, her face completely red—whether from embarrassment or excitement. We just looked into each other's eyes… "Elsa?" she was the one who noticed her sister quickly leaving, freezing the floor behind her. "Elsa!"

"This is starting to feel like some kind of cheap romance novel," I muttered, not expecting things to go this way. "And now you wonder, idiot or lucky guy… accepted one, hurt the other. Though this is Disney—there should be a happy ending." I stood up and followed Anna.

It was a strange situation. If Elsa didn't like what was happening between Anna and me, she would have said so directly. But instead, she left in turmoil, her emotions clearly out of control judging by the frozen floor. That meant she wasn't happy—quite the opposite.

"Elsa! What's wrong? Wait!" Anna caught up to her on the balcony.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have run away again," Elsa said. With my heightened senses, I could hear everything clearly. "I… I'm sorry, it was just all so sudden… you… you kissed him…"

"Yeah, I love him… maybe it's fast again, but hey, definitely more than one day!" Anna tried to stay positive, putting on a goofy smile.

"Anna, you know the most important thing to me is your happiness," Elsa said, clasping her hands to her chest. "But when I saw you… I felt… nothing!" she suddenly exclaimed.

"Elsa, you're not planning to run off to the mountains again, right?" Anna smiled nervously. "I don't really understand what's happening. Elsa, we're sisters, tell me! Do you not like Vic? I thought you liked him…"

"I do… like him," Elsa looked away. "He's done so much for both of us. Too much. Anna… I think I feel something for him too."

"Oh…" Anna clearly wasn't smiling anymore. "We'll figure this out, like always! We need to talk to him and understand what he feels. But no matter what, our bond as sisters will always come first."

"No, I need to let go of these feelings and forget them," the queen shook her head.

"Ladies, is everything alright?" that was when I "caught up" to them, trying not to show I had heard everything… and internally losing my mind. Two beautiful sisters liked me, and I had no idea how to react. "When do you need the portal?"

"Ahem, sorry, I just had urgent matters," Elsa avoided my gaze. "As for the portal, I think we can arrange an official visit today with an envoy and an invitation."

"Won't the portal scare them?" I wasn't so sure.

"It shouldn't. If anything, it will show that Arendelle is definitely worth befriending," the ice queen smirked slightly. Look at that—Disney or not, there was some cleverness hidden in that cute head.
