And now she was back; this time she would make sure to stay as far away as possible from that mad man, Cosimo, and quickly get together with her beloved Ryan.
She wanted to see how much heartache Cosimo would suffer when she no longer wanted him. The thought of this brought a smile to her face. After getting her thoughts together, she went to take a long bath.
Meanwhile, after breakfast, I felt lethargic and bored after scrolling on my new phone for a while.
Noticing this, Cosimo suggested we go shopping to change my wardrobe, which I gladly agreed to, and went to change into the best of my dresses, which was slightly bigger than me and had faded a bit.
"Wow, these dresses seem to be tailored just for you, madam. You look gorgeous," the sales assistant said, marveling at how some people were just walking clothes hangers.
"Thank you."
I glanced at myself in the mirror for the nth time, after which I went to show Cosimo, who was seated in the lobby.
Seeing me, a smile appeared in his eyes, making his indifferent and sharp expression become softer.
After a while, I changed back into my original clothes. When I returned to Cosimo's side, I saw him saying something to his assistant, who turned to leave as I got to where they were.
Cosimo pulled me to sit on his lap while he asked, "Tired?"
I nodded with a pout, at the same time touching my stomach and replying, "I'm also hungry."
"Should we go home or to a restaurant?" Cosimo asked.
"Home, I want to eat the chef's homemade cuisine," I replied. Then, "Yelp!" Cosimo carried me, and I quickly wrapped my hands around his neck to support myself while I hid my face in his chest to hide my blushing face. After noticing curious glances from other customers, he chuckled above me, only stopping when I twisted his waist.
After settling me down in his car, Cosimo called the butler to inform him to tell the chef to begin cooking dinner.
As the car parked in the compound, I ignored everything and rushed inside, squealing happily as I saw the food already being set on the dinner table.
I finished my food amidst Cosimo's aggrieved glares. After eating, "Burp." I burped slightly and muttered "excuse me" before patting my slightly rounded stomach.
Now having time for my boyfriend, I actively added food to his plate. "You should eat more; today has been tiring."
This finally made him smile. Feeling stuffy, we went to take a walk to aid digestion. The evening wind blew, bringing the scent of garden flowers to my nose.
Cosimo glanced at Sofia as she walked ahead. These past few days they had stayed together made him feel a peace he never knew existed.
Then he said, his voice breaking the serene environment, "Sofia, let's get married." After saying this, he felt as if a large burden had left his chest, but on second thought, he regretted it, feeling he was impatient. Then he began to blame himself. While this was happening, he glanced at her face, wanting to see her reaction. In doing so, he hoped she would not disappoint him, as no matter whether she agreed or disagreed, she was stuck with him throughout this lifetime, both in life and death. Thinking this, dangerous thoughts began to gather in his head. If she dared run, should he just lock her up on the island he just bought?
When I heard this question, I did not even think before replying, "Okay, let's do it." After saying this, I glanced at Cosimo, who seemed to be lost in thought.
So I reached out to him and called his name. "Cosimo..."
"Yes..." Cosimo replied, jolting out of his thoughts.
"I agreed. Let's get married," I said.
Then he smiled and said deprecatingly, "You agree... I knew you would agree..." Then his face changed as happiness came suddenly. "Wait, you mean you agree to get married to me?"
I nodded. "Yelp."
I was suddenly carried and spun by the happy man. This also made me smile, and I pecked his lips. Almost immediately, he became flushed.
I glanced at his innocent expression and chuckled, only for me to be pulled into a deep, long kiss, with a hot tongue tangling with mine.
"Mmmh~~." I used my hands to hit his chest to stop him as I was getting short of breath.
At the end of it, my legs felt weak, and I gasped for air while I glared at the culprit, who was glancing at me with deep eyes.
I was eventually carried back to my room, as my legs gave out when I tried to walk on my own.
After dropping Sofia in her room, after sharing a goodnight kiss with her, he headed to his room and went straight to the bathroom for a cold shower.
As the cold running water hit his body, the fire that had been burning within him slowly cooled down. Then his thoughts wandered to Sofia's look after the kiss, her wet glittering lips calling onto him. If not for not wanting to scare her, he swore he could have taken her there. It took crazy self-control for him not to do so. After the shower, he changed into dark shirts and pants, then headed out, not wanting to trust the little self-control he had left, else he would take Sofia.
Cosimo headed to one of his bars, Midnight Bar. As the Maybach slowly parked at the side of the bar, a man dressed in black was already waiting at the door. He rushed to open the door and bowed to Cosimo, who slowly came out.
As they passed through the side door meant only for the owner and headed into the bar, "I want to be left alone," Cosimo said. Then he went to his exclusive private room for a drink.
On his way there, he was hit by someone. As he glanced at the lady who ran into him, her eyes shrank in fear, and she apologized timidly, "S..sorry."
He nodded and continued towards his room. Meanwhile, Alia, who had just bumped into him, was so scared the drunkenness in her system disappeared, and she ran home. Without bothering to say hi to her parents, she went to her room. After closing the door, her heartbeat still beat faster as she rested against the door since her chance encounter with Cosimo.
"You're safe now..."she whispered, but her hands were still trembling.
