Wails!
Rumble, rumble, rumble!
It was the same ordinary day in Selitopian, until suddenly, a very threatening earthquake hit the land, bringing fear to the hearts of the people.
Houses shook. Mansions shook. The dwelling places of the rulers also shook, threatening to collapse to the ground.
People were screaming, and were trying to get to safety. The earthquake rendered even the most powerful helpless.
Within the deepest room in the mansion of Gwafindol's ruler, the book of prophecy that had remained shut for years, opened.
The blind seer's eyes opened, revealing a pair of white eyes as she stared in the direction of the large-sized book that was placed on a stone that was meters tall.
She was sitting on a chair and her body never stopped shaking as concrete dust escaped from the ceiling and found its way to the floor.
It was the earthquake's doing.
The seer with white hair was in charge of guarding the book of prophecy that had shut itself for years, refusing to open.
It was the instant the book of prophecy opened to the first page that the earthquake immediately seized.
"Th- this can't be". The seer pointed a finger at the book as she said.
Her assistant, who had hidden under a table, looked around after the earthquake stopped. "Am I still alive?". She asked herself and touched herself. "Oh my. I am still alive. What was that?". She wondered.
"Come and help me up, Ashley". The seer said to her, and she quickly came out of her hiding place and went to help the seer.
She had no idea that the book of prophecy had unlocked itself. It was when she saw it that she gasped in disbelief and let go of the seer, whom she was aiding to walk.
"Yes, Ashley. The book of prophecy. Quick, lead me to it". The seer hurried Ashley, who recovered from her state of shock.
She led the seer to the book of prophecy and only stopped when they were standing in front of the stone.
The seer began to read the first page of the book of prophecy that was written in a language that only the seers could read, "Ghiliponu duoipholem dreh".
It meant; 'The child is here'.
After reading the boldly written words on the first page of the book of prophecy, the seer tried to turn to the second page, but she wasn't able to.
Irrespective of that, she was more than eager to share with the ruler of Gwafindol what had happened.
"Ashley, lead me to the ruler's throne room".
"Alright. But what was the meaning of that weird language you spoke, Lady Seer?". Ashley asked her.
"Shush it, Ashley. Just do what I asked you to do and nothing else". She ordered Ashley, who instantly shut her mouth with guilt.
'Tsk. I should not have asked'. Ashley blamed herself as she felt embarrassed after being shushed.
Carefully, she led the seer out of the cold room. For some reason, the room was always cold and gave Ashley chills.
She didn't have a single clue that it was the book of prophecy's doings.
Helena's pov,
"Ah". A groan escaped from my lips as I woke up. I felt a banging pain in my head.
I initially swung my weak slow hand around and hit the air in response when I felt the pain in my head, because I honestly thought that someone was hitting my head with a hammer.
My hands felt the ground, making me understand that I was lying on dry grass.
Wait, what?! Dry grass?! I panicked and tried to open my eyes. It was frustrating. I was trying to open my eyes, but they would not budge. I have heard of stuff like this, but I have never experienced it myself. But now that I was experiencing something like this myself, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of spell was cast on me that made my own eyes betray me?
It took me a while, before my eyes finally opened.
I sat up on the grass as I looked around. I was in some sort of open field.
"How the heck did I get here? No. That's not the question I should ask. What happened to me after I entered the temple?". I muttered, because I seemed to have forgotten something very important.
I could feel it.
