Cordelia's POV
The morning the parents were coming, my stomach was full of butterflies. I stood in front of the mirror in our big bedroom, trying to decide what to wear. I wanted to look nice but still like myself, not some sweet, shy omega.
I chose a simple light blue dress that reached my knees. It was pretty but not too fancy. My hair was loose and wavy. I took a deep breath and looked at myself.
"You can do this," I whispered.
All five alphas had been extra gentle with me since breakfast. They could feel I was nervous. Pablo came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"You look beautiful," he said softly. "They are going to love you. Just be yourself."
"I'm always myself," I replied with a small smile. "That's what I'm worried about."
Sergio kissed my cheek. "That's exactly why they will love you."
A little after 11 o'clock, we heard the sound of a car coming up the long road. My heart started beating fast. We all walked outside to the front porch to welcome them.
A big black SUV stopped. First, an older alpha stepped out. He was tall and strong like my mates, with gray hair and kind but serious eyes. Then an omega woman stepped out. She was beautiful, with warm eyes and a gentle smile. She looked excited.
The moment she saw me, her face lit up.
"Oh my goodness… Cordelia!" she called happily.
She walked straight to me and pulled me into a warm hug. I was surprised but hugged her back. She smelled like fresh flowers and home.
"I'm so happy to finally meet you," she said, holding my hands. "I'm Maria, and this is my mate, Robert. We are the boys' parents."
Robert stepped forward and gave me a gentle smile. "Welcome to the family, Cordelia. We've waited a long time for you."
I tried to keep my voice steady. "Thank you for coming. I… I was a little nervous."
Maria laughed softly. "No need to be nervous, sweetheart. Come, let's go inside and talk."
We all moved to the living room. The parents sat on the big couch while I sat between Pablo and Luca. The other three alphas stayed close, watching me protectively.
Maria looked at me with kind eyes. "The boys told us a little about you on the phone. But we want to hear from you. How are you feeling here? Are they treating you well?"
I glanced at my five alphas, then back at her. "They are treating me very well. Better than I expected. At first I fought them a lot because… I didn't want to be controlled. I grew up seeing omegas treated badly. My mother and little sister were locked away during heats. I promised myself I would never be like that."
Robert nodded slowly, listening carefully. "We understand. Many packs still treat omegas poorly. That's not how we raised our sons. We taught them to respect and cherish their mate."
Maria reached over and held my hand. "You are very brave, Cordelia. Being bold and strong as an omega is not easy. But I can already see how much my sons love you. Their eyes light up when they look at you."
I felt my cheeks get warm. "I'm learning to trust them. They make me feel safe. And… I think I'm starting to love them too. All five of them."
Pedro smiled proudly beside me.
The conversation became easier after that. Maria asked about my favorite food and what I liked to do. I told her about riding the horses with Luca yesterday and how beautiful the ranch was. Robert talked about how they built the pack from nothing and how happy they were that their sons finally found their fated mate.
At one point, Maria looked at me seriously but kindly. "We know your heat has passed. We also know this pack is very… passionate. If you ever feel overwhelmed, you can always talk to me. I was an omega with five alphas too. I understand how intense it can be."
I laughed a little. "It is intense. But they are patient with me. Even when I act difficult."
Everyone laughed. The mood felt warm and family-like.
Later, we had lunch together outside. Maria helped me in the kitchen and told me funny stories about when my alphas were young boys, how they used to fight over toys and how Luca was always the one getting into trouble with animals.
I felt myself relaxing more and more. I didn't feel like I had to prove I was strong. They accepted me as I was.
When the sun started to set, Robert stood up and looked at all of us.
"Cordelia," he said, "you are exactly what this pack needed. A strong, honest omega with fire in her heart. We are proud to call you our daughter."
Tears came to my eyes. I didn't try to hide them. Maria hugged me again, longer this time.
"You are home now," she whispered. "We will always support you. And when you're ready, we would love to meet your little sister Lila too."
That touched me deeply.
After the parents left in the evening, I stood on the porch with my five alphas, watching the car drive away. I felt tired but happy.
Pablo pulled me into his arms. "You did amazing today."
I smiled and looked at all of them. "I think… I really like your parents. And I think they like me."
"They love you," Sergio said. "Just like we do."
I leaned against them, feeling safe and warm.
