The atmosphere in the café changed the moment Olivia walked in. The warmth that once filled the room suddenly felt cold and suffocating.
Maya stared at her, disbelief flashing across her face.
Olivia looked exactly the same as always—perfectly dressed, flawless makeup, and that confident smile that always made people believe she was harmless.
But Maya knew better.
"What do you want?" Maya asked, her voice firm.
Olivia pulled out a chair and sat down without asking. She crossed her legs gracefully and looked between Maya and Daniel as if she were watching a movie.
"I should be asking you that," Olivia said calmly.
Daniel clenched his jaw. "Olivia, this is not your business."
Olivia laughed softly.
"Oh Daniel… everything is my business."
Maya's patience was disappearing quickly. She leaned forward.
"Why did you threaten Daniel?" Maya demanded.
Olivia raised an eyebrow.
"So he told you?"
Daniel looked uncomfortable.
Olivia slowly stirred the coffee in front of her even though she hadn't ordered it.
"Threaten is such a strong word," she said casually.
"Then explain it," Maya said.
Olivia looked directly into Maya's eyes.
"You're talented. Smart. Ambitious. People like you rise very fast."
Maya frowned. "And?"
Olivia smiled.
"And I don't like competition."
Daniel slammed his hand lightly on the table.
"You're insane."
Olivia shrugged.
"Maybe."
She leaned closer to Maya.
"But you should thank me."
Maya stared at her.
"Thank you?"
"Yes," Olivia said.
"If I really wanted to destroy you, Maya, you wouldn't even be sitting here right now."
Maya felt anger boiling inside her.
"You ruined my relationship."
Olivia smirked.
"No. Your relationship was weak. I simply exposed it."
Daniel stood up suddenly.
"That's enough."
Other customers in the café began looking in their direction.
Olivia remained calm.
"You see?" she said quietly.
"This is exactly why you both are predictable."
She stood up slowly.
"But don't worry. I'm not here to fight."
Maya crossed her arms.
"Then why are you here?"
Olivia's smile returned.
"To remind you both that the game has just started."
Maya felt a strange chill.
"What game?"
Olivia leaned down slightly and whispered near Maya's ear.
"The game where I win."
Then she walked away.
The café door closed behind her.
Daniel ran his hands through his hair in frustration.
"She's dangerous," he said.
Maya watched the door where Olivia had disappeared.
For the first time, she realized something terrifying.
Olivia wasn't just jealous.
She was calculating.
And people like Olivia never played fair.
