Two days later, Lina was discharged from the hospital.
She expected Adrian to disappear after their agreement, but instead, a sleek black luxury car waited outside the hospital entrance.
The driver opened the door respectfully.
"Good afternoon, Miss Lina."
Lina looked at Adrian.
"You didn't have to do all this."
Adrian simply gestured toward the car.
"Get in."
The ride through the city felt surreal.
Lina stared out the window as towering buildings and busy streets passed by.
After nearly forty minutes, the car finally stopped.
Lina looked up—and her jaw dropped.
Before her stood an enormous modern mansion surrounded by perfectly trimmed gardens and tall gates.
"You live here?" she asked.
"Yes."
The gates opened automatically as the car approached.
Inside the estate, several staff members were already waiting.
A middle-aged woman stepped forward.
"Welcome home, Mr. Cole."
Adrian nodded slightly.
"This is Lina," he said.
The staff immediately bowed politely.
"Welcome, Miss Lina."
Lina felt overwhelmed.
Just a few days ago, she had been living in a small apartment with Daniel.
Now she was standing inside the mansion of one of the richest men in the city.
"This will be your home from now on," Adrian said.
Lina turned to him.
"You move fast."
"I don't like wasting time."
He looked at her seriously.
"Our engagement will be announced soon."
Lina's eyes widened.
"That soon?"
"Yes.
"Why?"
Adrian's expression remained calm.
"Because the sooner the world knows… the sooner your revenge begins."
