Kenzo noticed her staring one morning. Eyes still half closed. A sleepy smile on his lips. "Are you checking if I'm real again?" he asked softly.
Sofia smiled. "Maybe."
He reached for her hand under the blanket. Interlacing their fingers like it was the most natural thing in the world. "I'm still here," he whispered.
And she believed him. Their wedding wasn't big. It wasn't perfect. It wasn't even what people expected from a story like theirs. It was small. Warm. Full of people who actually mattered.

Kenzo's voice shook slightly when he said his vows. Not from doubt. But from emotion he no longer tried to hide.
"I used to think love was about finding the right person," he said. A pause. Then softer— "But it's actually about becoming the right version of yourself with that person."
Sofia smiled through tears. Because she knew. She had lived it too.
"And I choose you," Kenzo finished quietly. "Not because we didn't break…" "…but because we learned how to come back."
Sofia's voice was steady when she spoke. "I choose you too." A soft breath. "Not because it was easy…" "…but because it was real."
And that was enough.
