The day passed by in a blur, with Jacob and Violet spending most of the time together. After they had visited Violet's favorite spot, Jacob took her to eat at one of the academy's canteens, and finally, at night, he walked her to her room—which was only a few doors away from his—in very romantic fashion.
He had made sure to deliberately forget his jacket with her so he'd have an excuse to speak to her again, or even visit her room—which he was sure was most likely customized by now. Classic move.
By the time he reached his room, the sun had dipped far below the horizon and the twin moons had risen, their lunar lights bathing the world like two reflective spectacles looking down upon it.
There was nothing else on Jacob's mind but getting a good night's sleep, letting his body recharge for the next day.
