Twenty minutes before the awaited hour; Many groups are already on hold around the central Quartzal.
{This thing is as massive as a 15-story building!}
The monolithic heptagon prism appeared to be made of solid, dark-brown glass; But upon closer inspection. The walls are a whole lot of small blue, yellow, and red rectangles.
Light is emanated from those tiles, the shines are blended together to give the illusion of a smooth, uniform surface.
"Nervous?." Naylyn asked Vurckair.
"No. It may be my first time in a Quartzal. But i'll have your guidance. «What is there to be afraid of?»."
"Wild Monsters–" Murmured Balalaika, followed by Odette. "Unknown Diseases–"
"Other Competitors." Stated Miellessa; The fifth member of Vurckair's Spear.
She is a towering, voluptuous brunette wearing a shirtless military uniform that shows a lot of cleavage. An eye-catching feature, comparable to her bright emerald irises, or the natural confident smile portrayed on her plump lips.
"Well said, Miss Ma'ájesh." Vallad'Yanna arrived with the company of the Spear's sixth, and last Cadet.
Viennetta. A quiet, slender, boyish lady of porcelain white skin, pixie red-blonde hair, and black sclera eyes with vibrant orange irises.
"Get into position." Vallad'Yanna ordered, and the Cadets stood around Vurckair, their palms touched his scaled Adarga, and his True-Wine Halo ablazed in a burst of energy.
The ethereal flow condensed into threads woven in a triangular pattern that began to intertwine with the Lady's Nimbar, which in turn awoken Vurckair's own Nimbar.
Murmurs, and gasps commented on how the Instructor was not in charge.
What left Giassmennia with more than a slim glimmer of guilt; She started it all with the good intention of a fair Duel to free Instructor Valkysh from her supposedly oppressive boyfriend. Now, Vallad'Yanna is the hot topic on everyone's gossip, and it's all her fault.
{I can't see their Profiles. Only Naylyn's and mine are available. Although i can access the information in the Data Core}

"Hey!. Handsome!." Called Odette. "If you win the bet; I'm alive, and still form part of this group… Could you change the team's name?. Vurckair's Spear sounds… Di-Dirty."
"Then clean it." He signaled his groin, embarrassing Odette.
"That is gross." Spat Giassmennia.
"It isn't. And you should be ready to clean me too."
"Keep dreaming, Vecturion…"

"Now you know the bare minimum you must exceed." Giassmennia extended her open palm. "Good luck, Vecturion."
"There is no luck in having skill." Vurckair shaked the damsel's hand. "Don't hold back, Boob'boy."
The sky resounded with a powerful sonic boom, along a pink aura shaped into the face of Coordinator Phrangnerth.
"Attention Cadets. You'll delve in this survival Tamed Quartzal for the next three to four days…"
"Participation is not optional. Fortunately for you, forfeiting is possible after 35 hours. But privileges will be removed for everyone who doesn't fulfill the standard of 75 hours. «May Ell'Thane Bless Your Route."
The crowd chanted at unison an almost fanatical. "MEBYR!." And various Spears quickly flew towards the Quartzal.
Naylyn's aura extended to the group through the meshed web created by Vurckair, allowing everyone to levitate.
"Nalune, head to an intersection of tiles converging the three colors."
She obeyed.
The Quartzal's solid surface softened upon contact, what allowed the Spear to trespass the material; Gliding through it like if it were gelatin.
{This feels heavenly. Similar to a full body treatment with exfoliating gel…}
Groans of pain and discomfort came from Vurckair's team.
He and Naylyn were the only ones who endured the pressure.
{Our resistance must be related to the Black of Ordinance. Which means my teammate's Stats are badly distributed}
{If their Attunement is adjusted; They'll aquire a Halo, and the Spear's Battle Rating should rise up}
The Quartzal's interior is a massive vaulted underground area; Plenty of cavernous tunnels are illuminated with bone, medievalistic, or primitive torches.
These distinctive designs are varied, but mostly belong to three dominant species.
Anthropoid reptiles; Hobgoblins, and Tribal Giantesses.
"This environment is exhausting me." Naylyn panted. "I won't be able to keep us flying for more than ten minutes."
"You heard her, Miss Wröthck. Where is the Nucleus?."
Viennetta scanned the landscape with her black sclera eyes. "I think the Nucleus it's in the mud huts near the east river."
"I can get there in three minutes–" Naylyn commented, but got interrupted by Odette.
"And what do you want us to do, Perfection Incarnated?. Die?!. I suck at fighting. But even i know we are an easy target for those strong, reptile barbarians."
Vurckair shared his Camouflage. "Relax, «Blondie»; Do your job, and we'll do ours."
"I… I understand."
"«Good Girl». Don't forget to remind me of patting your head later."
"Ye-Yes…"
"For someone who Phenotype is Utility, and hasn't been in a Quartzal, you look very calm, Vecturion. Unlike the Mussers, or the Berezovsky." Muttered Miellessa.
"«Vurckair», not Vecturion." He adamantly remarked. And combat experience it's unrelated to a Phenotype. «You fight, Or you die»; Which it's not dependant on delving into Quartzals. Furthermore, overdeveloped lizards, like the normal ones, are weak against heat."
{I could easily blast them with «Abraxza»}
Error: First Contracted Summon available at Level 5.
{If i can't call her. What about «Dollzerka»?}
Error: First Embryon available at Level 10.
{I suppose «Vallicca» is out of question too}
Error: Second Embryon available at Level 30.
{What about «Gifts»?}
Error: Insufficient Stats. (60 of 200)
Naylyn was about to land the team on a hill near the huts. But movement was spotted among the rocky surface.
In silence, large stones got magically deformed, revealing tunnels dug by Hobgoblins.
"Prepare to engage." Vallad'Yanna warned softly, but Vurckair has a distinct approach.
"It's not required, Instructor Mäwler. Let's see how the Hobgoblins decimate the reptilians, just then, we strike them both…"
