Chapter 59 - Chapter 59: Intensive

Kazir successfully signed with Warner Bros., and the highly anticipated the hangover was confirmed to hit the big screen in the summer.

He already had a plan in mind, knowing that there was still much work to be done and that filming had to be completed by the end of April or early May.

Since the Children's Association incident, the crew seemed to have been injected with a stimulant; filming progress significantly accelerated, and the overall atmosphere became increasingly harmonious.

Actors occasionally made small mistakes during filming, but this is common in movie production; after all, even the best actors will inevitably have bloopers.

'If I had to say what surprised me most about this shoot, it would definitely be the performance of this group of actors...'

Kazir recalled the scene after filming began, his eyes filled with satisfaction.

They truly are Hollywood actors!

'As soon as filming started, they were able to switch emotions and expressions quickly and naturally, which completely exceeded my expectations. I hadn't expected any amazing acting, but they truly gave me a big surprise.'

Kazir knew that the acting quality of the hangover had significantly improved compared to napoleon dynamite.

Therefore, he approached every scene with extra care, shooting four takes just to select the most outstanding one from many shots.

He had even given Reese Witherspoon a few pointers earlier, eagerly anticipating her greater progress. After all, their relationship was out of the ordinary, and Kazir hoped Reese would shine in the movie.

The sweetness of Reese was very prominent, and Kazir felt that this was precisely her unique advantage and must be utilized well.

"Her progress is truly significant; this girl has something special." Although Reese's role in the film was not extensive, every time she appeared on screen, she quickly captured the audience's attention and became the focus.

Kazir thought to himself, "After the hangover is finished, I need to help her find suitable roles. If there really aren't any, I'll just tailor one specifically for her."

His mind was full of ideas for future hit romantic comedies, with various creative thoughts constantly emerging.

Among the other actors, Jack Black and Pedro Pascal's performances were also quite impressive.

Pedro Pascal played the role of Pedro Sanchez in napoleon dynamite and had kept his mustache ever since.

Kazir felt this decision was very wise; with a mustache, Pedro was more recognizable and unforgettable.

In the hangover, Pedro Pascal played the groom, Doug.

Doug mysteriously disappeared on the night of drug use, and most of his scenes were concentrated in the early part of the movie.

However, his acting was truly impeccable; he often got it right in one take and never had bloopers. For this, Kazir specifically reshot several times, just to see if he could deliver an even more brilliant performance.

As for Jack Black, he was simply a natural comedian; he always managed to make everyone laugh with his humor.

For a comedian, this ability to entertain is more valuable than anything else.

"No wonder he became a legendary comedian; he really has a knack for making people laugh." Kazir made no secret of his admiration for Jack Black, grateful that he had chosen the right person.

"This Jack Black, he's really good," Producer Enrico leaned over and whispered.

Kazir nodded in agreement, "You're right. If there are suitable roles in the future, definitely go for him; he can absolutely handle it."

"Do you really think so?" Enrico asked somewhat doubtfully.

"Absolutely." Kazir replied firmly.

By the first week of April, only one-third of the filming progress had been completed.

However, fortunately, it did not exceed the original plan.

In fact, delays are common in film production; very few projects manage to complete filming strictly according to schedule, as various unforeseen circumstances can lead to delays.

But Kazir possessed excellent coping abilities; even in the most urgent situations, he remained composed, always stabilizing the situation and reassuring the crew.

Last week, a small accident occurred on set.

A crew member fell from a ladder, and everyone immediately panicked.

Kazir reacted quickly, calling an ambulance on the spot and arranging for Enrico to handle the follow-up. Fortunately, the crew member was unharmed, and the medical expenses were naturally covered by Enrico.

Soon after this incident, everyone returned to their respective duties and immersed themselves in the intense filming work.

Kazir also repeatedly urged everyone to focus on their work and not be careless.

Currently, everything was proceeding in an orderly manner, and filming was progressing smoothly.

Since the immense success of Se7en and napoleon dynamite, no one on set dared to challenge Kazir anymore; everyone accepted his arrangements wholeheartedly.

"What do you think of this shot?"

Director of Photography Reiner leaned over, showing Kazir the camera position.

In a film crew, the Director of Photography is responsible for the setup and adjustment of cameras and lighting, with a status second only to the Director and Producer.

Kazir looked carefully, thought for a moment, and then said, "Let's try this angle first. If the effect isn't ideal, we'll change it. If it's absolutely impossible, we'll even tear down the wall if we have to."

"Understood." Reiner nodded.

"Alright, action!" With Kazir's command, filming continued... In day after day, night after night of intense filming... "Cut! Alright everyone, I announce that the hangover is officially wrapped!" When the last shot was completed, Kazir shouted excitedly.

"Whoo-hoo!"

The surrounding crew members cheered, and the actors also breathed a sigh of relief, finally showing smiles on their faces.

Three months of filming, although everyone enjoyed it, it was also truly exhausting and took a toll on their energy.

"I'm giving you three days off. You can go to the casino if you want, but don't get too wild." Kazir said with a smile.

"Haha."

A burst of cheerful laughter erupted from the crowd.

By the second week of May, the filming of the hangover was finally completed.

From the start of filming in late February to its wrap in May, this speed was faster than many film projects, all thanks to Kazir's meticulous planning.

He had a clear idea of what needed to be filmed in his mind, never blindly messing around, which ensured the efficiency of the filming process.

The actors gathered around, expressing their gratitude to Kazir.

They all felt that working with Kazir was very smooth and hoped that this film would be a big hit, giving them a chance to collaborate again in the future.

"Of course, I trust you all."

Kazir sincerely thanked everyone and told them that a grand wrap party would be held after returning to Los Angeles, but for now, everyone should rest well and enjoy themselves in Las Vegas.

"Director Gray, want to go to the MGM Grand Hotel together? I heard the casino there is fantastic." The actors enthusiastically invited Kazir to join them.

Kazir shook his head, declining, "No, I need to go look at the footage."

This guy was always like this; in his heart, movies were more important than anything else.

Reese Witherspoon, standing nearby, shrugged; she had already expected Kazir to say that.
