That day, Mike Tyson arrived with a large entourage.
The people in his group all looked formidable, tall and burly, with the faint outline of guns tucked into their waistbands. When they spoke, they exuded a rough, menacing aura.
"Mr. Mike Tyson, I've heard so much about you."
Kazir quickly stepped forward to greet him, a wide smile on his face, warmly addressing the legendary boxer.
Mike Tyson smiled back at him, nodding slightly.
"Director, it's a pleasure to meet you," Mike Tyson's voice was deep and powerful.
..."To be honest, his speech was a bit muffled." This was Kazir's first impression of Mike Tyson.
In his previous life, he had only seen him on television, so meeting him in person for the first time made him a little nervous.
However, he didn't dare mention anything about Mike Tyson's pronunciation, muttering to himself, afraid of accidentally offending the boxer and getting a beating.
"Mr. Mike Tyson, should we film the tiger scene first, or your scene?" Kazir asked softly.
"Let's film the tiger scene first. I want to see how my darling performs in front of the camera," Mike Tyson's lips curved into a confident smile.
"Alright."
Kazir nodded in agreement.
Since the tiger belonged to Mike Tyson, it was natural to follow his wishes.
"Crew, prepare for the tiger scene. Jane, make the actors look like they just woke up from the hangover."
Jane was now the head of the makeup team, and her salary had increased significantly.
In the entire the hangover crew, everyone's salary was included in the budget.
In fact, compared to other expenses, the salaries of the entire crew were pitifully low, less than 10% of the budget.
To put it bluntly, the film producers' biggest headache was the exorbitant salaries of actors, especially when hiring big-name actors. However, as long as the video tape market was decent, this amount of money wasn't a big problem.
"Speaking of video tapes... where did I put that video tape? Never mind, it's useless now anyway." Kazir suddenly remembered that there was a tape in the express package from his divorce case last year. He thought it was important at the time, but now it was no longer needed.
"Put the camera over there," Kazir shouted to the crew member.
"Got it!" The crew member responded, quickly setting up the camera.
Kazir watched the busy preparations on set. Harold from the props team was swamped, making the suite look like a chaotic mess, with various items scattered everywhere, as if a wild drinking party had just taken place.
Reiner was carefully adjusting the camera angles and lighting nearby, while Fremont assisted, occasionally handing over tools or offering his suggestions.
Kazir nodded with satisfaction, thinking to himself, "The brilliant shots that audiences see in the cinema are all the result of the hard work of these crew members!"
So, he had long planned to include everyone's name in the end credits, as this was everyone's hard-earned money.
If the movie became a hit and a box office success, the crew would also receive a generous bonus, and then they could hold a lively celebration party.
"Is everyone ready?" Kazir asked loudly.
Everyone around him gave an OK gesture, and even the 'drunk' actors on the ground were in position, striking their poses.
He nodded to Fremont and shouted loudly, "Lights, camera, action!"
...After Jade (played by Reese Witherspoon) left the suite, the three protagonists were still dead drunk, sprawled out on the floor.
Alan (played by Jack Black) weakly opened his eyes, wobbled to his feet, and wanted to go to the toilet.
He had to carefully avoid the ducks flying around the Room as he walked. Suddenly, a duck flew past his feet, and he stumbled, almost tripping.
He finally made it to the toilet and started to urinate.
Just then, he suddenly heard a deafening tiger roar behind him.
Without thinking, he instinctively turned around, only to see a fierce tiger baring its teeth at him, its sharp fangs exposed, and its eyes glowing with ferocity.
He froze, not reacting for a moment, and continued to urinate for a few seconds.
A few seconds later, he came to his senses, scared out of his wits, his face instantly turning pale.
He screamed and ran, and in his panic, he accidentally kicked Phil in the groin!
"Ow!" Phil let out a miserable cry, in too much pain to straighten up.
"Ah!" Alan was also startled by his own actions, yelling in terror.
The two instantly tumbled to the ground, Phil rolling around in pain, constantly cursing, "Damn it! Why don't you wear pants!"
"Don't go to the toilet!" Alan shouted, running desperately.
"Alan, calm down," someone shouted nearby.
"Phil, there's a tiger in the toilet!" Alan said breathlessly.
"What's going on?" Stu (played by Ed Helms), still groggy from the hangover, crawled up from the floor, looking bewildered at their chaotic state.
"There's a, there's a...!" Alan was so flustered he couldn't even speak coherently.
"Alright, alright," Phil got up, enduring the pain, "I'll go check."
He bravely pushed open the door, only to hear the tiger roar at him, the sound making his ears ring.
Phil's face turned pale with fright, and he quickly slammed the door shut with a "bang."
"Holy crap! There really is a tiger! He wasn't lying!" Phil shouted in terror.
"Impossible..." Stu said weakly, still thinking Phil was joking... "Cut! Good, prepare for the next scene!"
Kazir filmed three takes in a row, carefully checking the results on camera, and was finally satisfied.
The next scene was Alan (played by Jack Black) getting beaten by the boxing champion.
"He won't really hit me, will he?" Jack Black nervously approached Kazir, his eyes filled with worry.
"Don't worry... you'll be hospitalized after filming," Kazir said deliberately, straight-faced.
"You're kidding, right!" Jack Black's eyes widened, his face filled with horror.
"Of course I'm just messing with you," Kazir shrugged, smiling, "He definitely won't really hit you. There are still a lot of scenes to shoot! Don't forget, it'll take over a month to finish everything."
"What do you mean?" Jack Black was still a bit confused.
"Nothing else, just hold on. Just act well and show your most authentic state," Kazir encouraged.
"Ah? Director? Director! Don't trick me! Director!" Jack Black was still uneasy, constantly questioning him.
Kazir ignored him and focused on checking the camera, making sure nothing was missed and that the filming process was going smoothly.
"Jack Black starred in a movie called 'Nacho Libre,' and it's rumored he almost lost an eye during a stunt..." someone in the crew whispered, "Some say it was for publicity, some say it's true."
"But Jack himself said it was true, so maybe it is," another person chimed in.
As Director Gray, Kazir was very clear about such matters.
But one thing was certain: a normal Director Gray would never let actors perform dangerous stunts; they would always use stunt doubles.
Insurance companies would never agree either—if someone really got hurt, they'd have to pay a fortune.
Just like now... "Director Gray, I heard Jack Black is going to get beaten by Mike Tyson? I think we should find a stunt double," said Saul, a representative from Merrill Lynch, with a worried expression.
"Saul, don't worry, nothing will happen, and we don't need a stunt double. I trust Mike Tyson," Kazir said seriously.
"Are you really sure?" Saul was still hesitant.
"Saul, Mike Tyson won't really hit Jack."
Kazir patted Saul's shoulder, emphasizing again.
What he wanted was Jack's genuine reaction, and it would be best if Jack did it himself.
Besides, he hated it when others interfered with his filming—once filming started, he was in charge of the project.
..."Alright then!"
Seeing Kazir's firm attitude, Saul had no choice but to step aside and choose to trust him.
The makeup artists quickly finished touching up the three protagonists, and the scene officially began.
Jack Black was extremely nervous throughout, his body constantly trembling, and fine beads of sweat appearing on his forehead.
This was the effect Kazir wanted; only when the actor was truly immersed in a tense emotion could the most authentic footage be captured.
Fortunately, the heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson knew how to exercise restraint. Although his punches looked menacing, he didn't actually use much force.
Although Jack Black wasn't injured, he was still scared pale, his legs turning to jelly.
