Chapter 32 - News from Drum Island

What do pirates love to do most?

Of course—throw a banquet!

There's nothing more important than a feast!

Defeat the enemy? Celebrate with a banquet!

The three officers of Baroque Works had all been captured and tossed into barrels filled with seawater. The "future right-hand man," Mr. 3, had been beaten so badly he was covered in bumps and blood—and wouldn't be waking up anytime soon.

Princess Nefertari Vivi wanted the crew to set sail immediately for Alabasta Kingdom to stop the Shichibukai's plot to seize the country. Thoughts of her father and the tens of thousands of rebels marching toward the capital weighed heavily on her—she had no mood to stay here eating and drinking.

Meanwhile, Monkey D. Luffy had taken quite a beating—bombs from Mr. 5 and a crushing attack from Miss Valentine. He urgently needed food—not just to recover stamina, but also to heal.

In this world, many powerful fighters share a common trait:

they eat a lot—and recover quickly after eating.

In short, appetite equals combat power.

"We're not setting sail tonight. Everyone's exhausted."

Nami stepped in, opposing Vivi's proposal. Sailing the unpredictable Grand Line demanded constant focus. She wasn't made of iron—she needed rest too.

Vivi tried to argue, but her guard Igaram stopped her.

"Your Highness, I believe the royal army is not so fragile. One night won't make the difference."

He quietly pulled her aside—he didn't want to offend the Straw Hats. No matter how kind they seemed, they were still pirates.

Because of Eren's intervention, the crew hadn't gone through the life-and-death ordeal they originally would have. As a result, the bond between Vivi and the crew wasn't as deep—she saw them more as hired help than true companions.

"Sanji! I'm starving! I'm starving!!"

Luffy rolled around on the ground beside Sanji, acting like a child to hurry him up.

Sanji, cigarette in mouth, eyes burning with irritation, punched him to make him stop. Cooking for everyone was already hard enough—and now there were two giants to feed as well.

This time, he decided to prepare a proper dish:

a whole roasted Tyrannosaurus.

The massive dinosaur was skewered on a giant tree trunk.

Dorry and Brogy helped control the fire while Sanji seasoned the meat, slicing into thicker parts to ensure even cooking.

"Smells incredible… I haven't smelled something this good in ages."

"Let's bring out our reserves—let these kids enjoy themselves."

The giants' "reserves" were fruit wines they had brewed themselves over a hundred years ago—originally meant to be opened only when one of them finally won their duel.

But a century had passed… and now, thanks to the Straw Hats, the barrels were finally opened.

As a gesture of gratitude, Brogy brought out the aged wine. After all, compared to life itself, such things didn't matter.

Eren transformed into a giant again—this time acting as a porter, carrying a massive barrel nearly ten meters tall.

Still, his lack of clothing drew disapproving looks from the giants…

Finally, everything was ready.

The feast began.

"Cheers!"

Luffy!

Eren!

Zoro!

Nami!

Sanji!

Usopp!

Even the giants raised cups larger than the Going Merry and joined in:

"Cheers!"

Vivi and Igaram joined as well, sharing in the victory.

After the first round of drinks, Sanji personally carved the best cuts—tender chest meat—for the ladies, while tossing rough bone-in chunks to the men.

"Sanji, this is delicious!"

"I didn't know dinosaur meat could taste this good!"

Hearing praise from Nami and Vivi, Sanji practically floated with hearts in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Roronoa Zoro, gnawing on bones, glanced at Eren sitting alone in the corner, quietly drinking.

"You never said—where are you headed?"

Everyone except Luffy and the giants immediately fell silent, listening.

Eren drained his cup.

"I'm going to Drum Island. I heard there are many skilled doctors there. I need to get treated."

Treated?

He looked perfectly healthy—strong enough to turn into a giant and fight. What illness could possibly trouble someone like him?

The crew didn't know much about Drum Island, but Igaram did.

"I have some bad news," he said.

"Drum Island has changed. The tyrant king drove away most of the doctors. If you go now… you won't find what you're looking for."

He explained its location—not far from Little Garden, along the same route as Alabasta.

Eren remained calm.

"It's fine. Just drop me off when we pass by. I have my own way of finding a doctor."

With that, the lively atmosphere of the feast gradually cooled…
