Carson's eye flutter open he saw the sun was up his dress were torn he tried to stand but his whole body was aching he fell on his knees.
Carson said "Where the hell did that old man put me this place is a swarm of monsters and where am I?? I remember fighting the Siren then I blaked out probably lack of oxygen but how did I survive? "
Carson looked around no one was nearby he was alone lying on the ground. It took him some more time but after a few mins of resting he stood on his legs he took the support from a nearby stick and started to walk right now he had no food, no water ,no strength and more of all no wepon. In his mind he was cursing the old man for bringing him here.
He would drink water from nearby lakes or river time to time small beasts like one horned pink wolfs, red armadillo, white monkey and blue lizards would attack but against these weak monsters he would use his mana blast he had good mana just no spells and also lack of understanding on spells he can only use mana blast right now.
Days passed it was already the 27th day he had 3 days left he was starting to get worried in the past few days he ate some meat berrries got water and was now better from his previous condition although he could tell his body was still aching he was alive.
He then saw another exit but unlike before he now knows he slowly moved and hide near the bushes he saw just a path but he waited shortly after a cart passed Carson quickly hid behind trees the cart didn't pass by it stopped at the entrance there were around 20-30 soldiers ridding horse and some who were wearing expensive equipment were ridding something different it had a long head long beak no wings 2 legs and 2 small claw like hands he tried to remember if grandpa told him anything similar he couldn't remember.
He heard one soldier going towards the expensive carrage and said " Master are you sure you wanna go into this forest this is the forest of Dampnation very very dangerous and the more deep we go in we see more dangerous and mythic monsters we can't fight".
Carson suddenly remembered What grandpa said "The forest of Dampnation it is a forest for mythical beasts and creatures if you have power and you go in you will get great rewards but if you are indifferent to the dangers of the world you can die there" .
Carson was very very angry at old man for bringing him here and wanted to curse at him but stopped himself and a voice came from the carrage "why do you care it's my money I am paying You soldiers to protect me I wanna go in and see how really the exaggerated is The forest of Dampnation".
One of the soldiers sitting on that weird animal said very loudly " You kid don't pay us your dad does on your whim I came here leaving actual important work we will just go in for 2 days let you see how much horrific that place is then we come back now soldiers with me let's go" With that the man rushed forward the boy in the carrage didn't say anything back the carrage and all the other soldiers followed him.
After they went in Carson relived went out of the forest suddenly he felt the air changed lighter better. According to the old man's instructions he went to the nesrby village then went through many pubs to find him in one drinking and talking with a well built man.
On the way here Carson saw the disgustful look of many people all of them humans and one thing common all of them would quickly look at his wrist as if seeing if he is a runaway slave so they can do something to him and upon finding nothing would just give him disgustful looks.
Carson felt really really angry for being looked at disdain not small but angry he wanted to kill these people right here his eyes we're red but he kept in his mind the old guy's face and didn't retaliate many of them even called him names and even mocked him still he satyed silent and did his best to find the old man and after finding him instead of how Alferd him to expect to come hug him with tears but the exact opposite happened.
Carson came and said "you old man you said we will go to a normal forest but you put me in Forest of Dampnation don't you think I would have been dead there".
The old man said " That's why I trained you not to die and I left you in the beginning area no way you encountered anything out of the odds of those wolfs , some birds ummm lizards and at most rhinos yah that sums up"
Carson with a loud voice and angry tone said "Really? I literally survived an Encounter with a Siren I mean I didn't kill it but yah I survived"
The old man was astonished all the other huamns who were listening were also surprised the man who was drinking during midday with the old man was also surprised many of the humans were still disgusted but they begun to question something in them after hearing this conversation "why are we hating him we are way inferior to that child".
And to the exact opposite Carson thought was to kill them this instant but he was holding back. The old man replied " What?!! No way are the monsters in the Forest of Dampnation growing towards the outer edge??? I have to inform this to the king! It's a serious matter"
He then looked at the well built man and said "The king probably won't like me still you take Care of Carson". Then after a pause he said " And Carson is from a beast tribe he don't have any last name as you there the use the fathers achievement to their childs name so I Alferd Witwick will adopt him prepare the papers so that he can use my name to prepare for the academy and get in ".
The well built man was shocked then said " As you wish Headmaster Witwick" Then Alferd dissapeared.
Caraon looked at the well built man and asked "who are you and why did you call him headmaster and nothing just that? " Carson didn't want to tell that he smelled different from humans other humans.
The well built man was around his 30's still handsome yellow eyes silver hair a blue beard destroying the style combination said "I am Roparm a teacher at Valmeria it's one of the top Academy on human land or as we prefer to say Huran's best academy ofc youw I'll find other races students there but majority will be human children and I can tell you have been thinking why I smell different well I am a werewolf. "
Carson was a little shocked then asked " Whata bout the headmaster part? Wanna talk about it? "
Roparm replied after a pause " Few days back our previous Headmaster of the academy died Previously our headmaster and your Grandpa fought for this seat and lost because of some internal injuries he accepted the lost gracefully and left now we offered him the position back and he took it. "
Carson replied astonished with his discovery "wait a minute old guy is the headmaster? And well I will worry about it later I am famished let's ear something worrying about it isn't gonna fill my belly" And so Ropam ordered some food as they both continue to talk as they eat.
